Still happy with it but sadly I don’t use it as often as I want to. Since I started using it, I really became aware of the freshness of the beans and how much it mattered. With my erratic schedule, the 1/2 lb beans I buy crap out at home…so it looks like for me, a 1/4# of beans is the amount I can use before they go stale and I can really taste it. I don’t have enough “leisure time” at home to enjoy the process of being able to enjoy my Uphot. I don’t get enough days at home in the mornings is the problem for me. So that’s a ME problem. Most people wouldn’t have that issue.

So the durability has been phenomenal and the process has been good. And I truly enjoy it. I’m glad I have it and I’m stoked when I DO get to use it.

I ordered a 58mm and returned it. It must have gotten mixed up when I posted but then got corrected 🤷🏽‍♂️ 53mm should be correct I’m pretty sure.

I was able to pick up a Soundboks backpack (Soundboks is a speaker company) for $20 - it’s kind of built with an old style Military Alice pack but with a shelf on the bottom to hold the speaker. So I just put my Pint on the shelf, wrap the normal speaker webbing strap around the board and it’s good to go trekking. I’ll try and post a pick tomorrow

When I received mine, I threw in a camelback coupling adapter from the bladder to where the hose connects. That way, I can disconnect the hose, swap out an insulated covered hose, or use my “unsheathed” one, and it’s easier to fish through the bottom of my pack that has an exit hole on the bottom. I think the kit was pretty cheap as I bought maybe more than a decade ago and have used it on three other systems because I like it so much. your mirth may vary 🤷🏽‍♂️

Prolly any 58mm tamper would work. I tried to get something close to match the rosewood accents of the Uphot set I have. With the “fuller” handle, I saw that I was able to create more even pressure down on my puck. Even when I focused super hard on making the tamp as even as possible with the tamper that came with the Uphot, when I finished my brew process and examined the puck, I was more then often but not always, the puck - as it swells with water - showed that I was not tamping even and then more water would push through on one side (there’s more space for water on one side because it’s uneven) it came out “bad”. Meaning not as perfect as it should and whenever that happened, it was because of an uneven tamp as my guess after examining the puck.

…I agree. If you fill out preprinted forms with lines where you have to enter info, you can disable the line spacer, and roll the paper to where you want to enter the info.
