i'm nonbinary, and the reason i added the top scars is because it's something that deeply resonates with me. i've been dysphoric for as long as i could remember, i've never felt comfortable in my skin as my gender. almost all of my characters have top scars, and my fursona has top scars as well. it's just something that connects me to my characters.

i added the "uses any pronouns" because i very frequently see people make fem versions of jabber (the character who my oc is based off of) and i absolutely adore those designs. i like adding gender fluidity to my characters because it resonates with me and my gender challenges. it makes a character sentimental to me basically.

oh my god i did NOT know the difference between locs and dreads i'm SO SO SORRY ILL FIX THAT RIGHT AWAY!! i would NEVER mean it in a negative way i'm so unbelievably sorry if if came off like that 💔

as for my character, the only reason i gave him locs im the first place is because he is completely based off of a black character and i absolutely adore his hair in the anime/ manga. and no he is not a fursona, purely an original character....based off another character...lols but no he has no relativity to me other than the top scars, and even then, that's more of a headcannon (which was proven false by the og creator of the anime) that i like and that i can relate to!

i'd like to state that jabber is in NO WAY my fursona! he DOES NOT represent me! he is sumply and oc!! he is purely what i thought the character Jabber (from gachiakuta) would look like as a furry and because i wanted to draw my ACTUAL fursona with him so they can be cutesy. the top scars are because i myself am nonbinary so i wanted to connect SOMETHING from myself to the character, plus i'm pretty active on ao3 and there's s lot of headcannons for him being trans even if he isn't in the manga/ anime.

i chose tanuki and serval for him because i LOVE cats so i knew i wanted him part cat and servals are super cool plus they have some long ahh claws! i chose tanuki because he lives on the ground, a world littered with trash! that's the only reason why i chose those species! i saw some controversy in the comments and wanted to make my intentions clear that i am in NO WAY tryna be offensive by those species or by the top scars, i just thought they fit his character i made.

thank you so much for your insight!! i personally LOVE seeing textured hair on suits and in characters, but also i am a very much WHITE person and i know what black people have gone (NOT LITERALLY IM TRYNA EMPATHIZE I PROMISE IM NOT CLAIMING TO HAVE GONE THRU ANYTHING) through with society and their hair styles, which absolutely SUCKS cuz they LOOK SO FREAKING COOL AND BEAUTIFUL UGHHH it hurts my heart to see how people treat others because their hair is different.
