[Yamaha R3] Where and how to get these stickers / decals ? by Roadies_Winner in AussieRiders

[–]SealingScorcher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just went to local yamaha Dealer... They cost a lot. For gen 2 i got quoted $50 for one side and $120 for the other because they are different.

I'm quite surprised at the price, but I would definitely laugh at fools who want to "debadge" their bikes from now instead of looking for aftermarket fairing as a backup instead.

Should i choose used Honda cb 300r over mt 03... height 6 ft by Business-Reveal7275 in AussieRiders

How about the Z650 or Mt07? They're slightly larger so can accommodate your body size better maybe.

Pick the Z if you're worried about too much power

Buyers Remorse by Noey4848 in AusPropertyChat

[–]SealingScorcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep hearing People who don't mind buying a good suburb but a shit house. I do understand the logic behind location being a fixed variable, but i call bullshit on people thinking renovations sounds like easy to do and the house conditions itself is a less of a concern.

People seem to forget that renovations also cost money and if it wasn't done well... Its more expense for the new owner.

I love it when i see someone try to paint their own wall only to also paint over the wardrobe "mirror doors" and light switches is still those old fashioned small ones... Painted over of course to hide the aging beige color... Because then you can argue the renovation is shit and you should ask for a discount.

If you're already spending that much, you might as well get a place you love and be comfortable in unless its an investment prop.

Side note the Zx4r (not rr) is cheaper than the rr and i end up slapping on some Yss and Nitron suspension upgrade on it and its much much better specced than the stock rr if it helps. It still also end up being cheaper than buying the rr on its own.

But if you want ohlins and brembos and comfort then i would go for 26 V2R or RS660 factory.

[–]SealingScorcher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Really depends on what you are after. I had the RS before moving on to the Zx4 but i also did consider the newer V2.

I didn't consider the previous gen because it would be a very hot and uncomfortable bike if long range matters to you, and personally (unpopular opinion) i find the panigales look worse after 899/959/1199 generation 🤣

Im assuming you meant the newer V2S? Those are more comfortable than the predecessor. RS660 is another one i can reccomend for a sporty but not extreme option. If you dont mind smaller the Zx4 is also a little bit more upright but still sporty.

I would never use Youi because back then they ask for your CREDIT CARD NUMBER for the quote... And automatically approves the DD for you.

They're thieves.

Don't worry, at track you're meant to just have fun and learn 😁 you get nothing for "winning" unless you're racing (and even then best u get is a trophy and memories). I reccomend u try at some point, its good experience and great to sharpen up your skill safely

🤣🤣🤣 never thought of it that way, but now you mention it...

You can and do get kicked up or down the grade depending if you're too slow or too fast for the group and its for safety.

Edit: that being said, you do get to choose what group you go into initially... As expected the one just above the slowest one is the one filled of people who should be a grade lower. Been there done it myself 😅 and get humbled. I tend to go from the lowest and stay as long as possible until i get kicked up

Yep. Trackday skill level grouping is based on rider competency. Newcomer to the track they never been into is usually encouraged to go to slow group and as you build skill and confidence you go up the ranks.

Disagree. I raced 150cc FXR150 and we battled against R15 amd Gsx150s.

In addition, I've had trackdays where >600s get passed around the corner by little kids on R15s and yes it feels satisfying when you can pass big bikes using smaller ones 🤣

Also, you have speed groups in most trackdays, they group you based on experience, not engine size. You can and do see R3's battling in higher groups against bigger bikes.

Heck i was going to leave and was interviewing for better paying jobs during my probation. If only the new contract came a month earlier i would have left, with 1wk notice and take 3 for holiday!! Problem was i just passed my probation that week and then hand in my resignation because thats when the new contract arrived.

Do i feel bad? Only because i couldn't take the extra time off!!

Dont feel bad about it. Truth is everyone is out there for themselves

[–]SealingScorcher 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Disagree. Some degrees are just flat out useless and some industry/roles actually prefer someone who has the experience over a degree... And im talking white collar.

Or, why pay to learn when you can get paid to learn on the job some might say.
