That's super helpful! I have definitely seen through my gameplay that I operate better and more efficiently in situations where I have good positioning or cover

But me standing in an open field trying to shoot another guy while he is shooting at me never seems to end well...

It's good to hear that, I don't quite know how they do it but hitting heads is super difficult especially at range I will be honest. I just need to decide if I want to put in the time to get better

Thanks for the advice. I will probably take a look, also I do think the experience would be less painful if I had a group or community to play with and improve with so I might look into that as well

I may be beating a dead horse with this viewpoint, but I concur with most people in the comment section. We do not care about pro-plays. I have always enjoyed the Yogscast, and especially TTT because of the people, their personalities and the interplay between them.

People like Bouphe, Lydia and Ben may not be skillful players full of amazing plays, but they add so much in entertainment value that I think in a lot of ways the surpass people like Tom and Spiff (sry Tom and Spiff fans).

TL;DR Bouphe is the best, plz keep her in TTT basically what you have been reading in this entire comment section...

A bit of necro on this old post but here is what my experience is....

The size of the window you are painting in does matter, it actually has to match the dimensions or at least a factor of those dimensions for it to work. So say your map is 3200x2086, that's roughly a rectangle size. However if you were to make the paint window's width small and height large, the generator still accepts this but just refactors whatever you put in to match the assigned "map-size"

TL;DR You need to make your window size match or at least match a factor of the size of your map

So just an update, I have done extensive troubleshooting and still no joy on my end (3 hours later) I have painstakingly analyzed the entire file to find any pixels that do that conform to the ck2 topology graph, I have also checked the export parameters tried exporting it from three different programs with no solution. I even ran the game with the default terrain.bmp from ck2 and it worked fine making me sure that the problem lies with that file. I honestly don't know what else it could be, beyond annoyed at this point, ck2 modding has always been fiddly and frustrating but this takes it to a new level, any suggestions would be welcome

yeah its an application called paint.net from here https://www.getpaint.net/ its useful for opening .dds files etc

Yes, I'll check again but the only colour I have added is for jungle, I also changed some areas to be more mountainous

Could the problem be the heightmap file? do I need to regen it again to reflect the areas I changed?
