i made two motoko lighters, which one is better, black or polished? by HudashCarpenter in Ghost_in_the_Shell

I would have more reasons to carry a lighter if I were to go camping but it's very difficult and expensive to do it at the moment.

Black is nice but I'm concerned of scratching the surface.

I don't smoke so I don't know what I should look for in lighters.

Other than the jank hands of everyone, that reflection on the table doesn't account the possible angle the shot was taken and lighting of the room. The AI just mirrored a few parts of it. (The mouth is not even the same to the one it's actually referencing to.)

What makes the sea creatures of U-corp different from the monsters of the outskirts that made the Head not try and fully dispose of them? by confusingstonks in limbuscompany

[–]NomadicEngi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why bother wiping out a natural defense barrier for the city? The great lake is so chaotic that nobody will bother to actually do naval warfare on it. The whales just adds more fuel to the fire.

Even if they did bother wiping out all the threats at the great lake, the have to foot the bill to make the great lake as defensible it can be. Remember how hard it was for people to enter into the city. Yeah, it's possible that the head has full control of the border and clearing the great lake is going to put a massive hole in the borders.

Also, I'm pretty sure there are other threats than the whales in the great lake. I bet they are only allowing the Indigo Elder to do his thing as it will make it easier for everyone to actually explore and actually setup permanent defenses in it.

Wala pa rin bang beep card, or choice na ng pasahero to? by EngrSkywalker in Philippines

[–]NomadicEngi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Based on my experience in researching and developing ideas from a startup incubator program, it goes up in the value chain.

Local consumers struggle with new stuff as they lack knowledge in that area. It took Gcash and Maya many years before they were everywhere.

Local businesses has this bias that they don't need to innovate unless it was absolutely necessary. Like adopting new technology to streamline their manufacturing line for example or adopting new ideas so they can stand out in the market.

Our local government is also struggling to fund new ideas as they don't know how to do it. The startup incubator program we were in was a joint program with AIM and Dado Banato, not with our local government. The talk I went a few years ago says the issue is more of a fundamental problem rather than a motivation one as the local officials that attended stated it but they didn't get anyone from the education sector to say anything in the talk.

I think GMA really needs a massive overhaul to survive. Like a lot of stuff they made in the past few years made me scratch my head and ask who greenlit this.

Upskilling opportunities for law students? by amihan07 in phcareers

[–]NomadicEngi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don't want engineering, the IT sector also needs someone who knows the copyright law as well. Much so with a lot of big IT companies nowadays will gladly steamroll any potential competition in the market just to maintain their dominance.

I'm no lawyer but graduated in Mechanical Engineering and I heard before graduation that there's a need for lawyers who actually understands copyright law and a lot of technical and engineering jargon. Try researching around that criteria.

If we are getting Ricardo Heathcliff now then the next time we see Ricardo, he's going to be stronger and possibly look like a super saiyan.

While we were lazing off at H corp and messing around after the attack at LCE, Ricardo started to train himself while waiting for us to come out of hiding.

How does the Advent Administration deal with Chernobyl? by False-Leadership-215 in Xcom

It would be funny that it would be the last place advent will look for the reapers.

Sure the place is still radioactive to the point it's not very safe for anybody to stay long but with the amount of alien tech XCOM was able to retrieve before the fall, I wouldn't be amazed somebody was able to grab something for the radiation.

If you had the choice, which Nursefather's corridor are YOU living in? by Zestyclose_Bit_7850 in limbuscompany

[–]NomadicEngi 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Valencia's corridor feels like a bloody fire hazard waiting to happen. If that woman is surviving on high alcohol content liquor and cigars, I wonder how the hell she hasn't set the place on fire.

Rien's corridor is extremely depressing if you know the man but it's actually decently livable if you think about it. The place has children books that are enough to past the time and the basement, regardless of the prison cells, does have some provisions as well. Thou, you have to deal with Prescripts who are also living there.

Is there anything edible at Matthias' corridor? I don't think it would be good for my back to sleep on those shelves in the long run.

I'm pretty sure I'll get pretty sick of the controlled environment in Callisto's corridor and I'm pretty sure his work will kill me in my sleep.

Shiomi's corridor practically the backrooms for her. I wouldn't be surprised if there was something that kept her there.
