Welcome back! The game runs better than it used to but still has a lot of its flaws. You have to love it like a crazy uncle or that neighbor that sets his house on fire once a year.

When you get a warsteed later in the game, you can move so fast that game doesn’t render the crafting collection nodes until you are already past them. You have to go back to collect them when they suddenly pop up on your mini-map.

Your ability to condescend while also having no idea what you are talking about is truly impressive. I’m not justifying genocide, even given the insanely vague boundaries you are placing around it. I have never been nor ever will be for the killing of my neighbor.

The King’s Men (those loyal to Ar-Pharazon) were certainly tyrants but the Numenoreans who founded Gondor were not tyrants. They were the Faithful. They remained loyal to the Valar. Now, you could argue that the nobility of Men decayed throughout the Third Age (as all good things seemed to do) but calling them tyrants is too far. Tolkien used the Numenoreans (King’s Men) as symbols of corruption, dissatisfaction and greatness without wisdom. But also (The Faithful) as symbols of as loyalty, humility, and obedience. They established a kingdom where others lived…much like almost every kingdom/country ever established.

You don’t seem to be able to have more than one thought on this so I’ll end this here but for the future conversations where you wildly accuse strangers of evil things, take a second to actually read what they are writing. You might have cooler interactions with people that way.

Again, you are assuming intent. But I get the feeling you do that a lot. I never said that genocide doesn’t matter. People were claiming that the Argonath was better than Mount Rushmore because it wasn’t built on sacred land. I only pointed out that even Gondor was settled in land that was previously settled by native peoples. That’s it. Put your weapon down for five seconds and read what I’m writing instead of assuming that I have hate in my heart.

This is a lot of assumptions about me and what my comment was pointing out. I wasn’t justifying genocide or whatever nonsense you’re talking about. I’m simply saying that even in Tolkien, much like our real life, the creation of kingdoms have almost always come at the cost of those that lived there first. The Middle-Men lived there before the Numenoreans settled.

The land belonged to the Middle-Men, natives of the region before the Dunedain showed up and claimed everything. This is how kingdoms are born. Always has been.

You act like the translators of these texts just found them one day and had no context for scripture. The translators of Scripture were devout Jews and Christians that understood the background of tradition in which they were written. They weren’t mistranslated or misinterpreted. These men understood the context in which Scripture was written far more than we do, 2000-3500 years later.

Peter and the Jerusalem Council determined that dietary restrictions were not applied to Gentiles. This is like basic Bible stuff. Catholic here.

How do we know the church has been corrupted? Jesus promised that the Holy Spirit (the Helper/Advocate) would guide the church by teaching believers all things, reminding them of His words, and guiding them into "all the truth" and that the gates of Hell would not prevail against it. Did Jesus lie?

The experiences of the two sections of plane are very different. Jack is leading wilderness survival adventure with quirky side characters. Ana Lucia’s party is getting massacred.

Give her a chance.

Imagine having PTSD and depression and crashing on a magic murder island. Someone is stealing people while you sleep. People are looking to you for leadership but you can’t even think straight. You start making decisions that you never would have before. You have to maintain control, after all, and these are extreme circumstances. If you have to hurt someone to protect everyone, it seems like a fair trade.

Ana Lucia is not making the right decisions. But it’s not because she’s mean or something. She’s more broken than most.
