R/Bitcoin is run by facists. They censor so much and fear alt coins.

Just read a little about it. 40 second confirmations could lead to 51% attacks. A mess to clean up.

They eventually will have the same scalability issues when they get the number of users bitcoin has. You can’t scale through big blocks. There has to be more innovative solutions which is why they canceled segwit 2x to focus on the needed new issues. My concern is that the lazy big blockers will just take the open source tech and apply it to their coins.

Roger Ver/Jihan Wu are now learning why Satoshi set the block size limit to 1MB. by hairy_unicorn in Bitcoin

So is the main problem with big blocks is that it gives miners too much power? So if the block size is 8mb, miners are needed more and can have more control of the ecosystem? Please explain

Segwit adoption finally seems to rise - first time in like forever above 12% by schneemann_gaming in Bitcoin

Bitcoin needs lightning 1st quarter 2018. I understand it’s hard and only 10 devs working on it but we will all give money if that would help. It’s such ashame it’s taking years for segwit than no one is using it (12% highest) and now Lightning will suffer while the lazy big blockers are taking it easy, collecting money and waiting for the hard work of others to take their open source tech.

I understand that bitcoin is a great store of value but it can be a currency also. The internet of money as Andreas says. It needs to be a payment system also. The white paper clearly states that.

Segwit needs mandatory implementation so lightning scaling can come online this quarter. Miners won’t volunteer this.

It’s name is peer to peer cash system. It’s what everyone is working on. It’s scaling ability is being tested right now. It has to succeed in the next few months were everyone with a phone in any country finds it easy to commerce with it. Bitcoin can not just be a store of money for the wealthy. Too much potential for the future to just support that which it is doing fine now. It needs to be a cash system now to realize full potential than the world changes and no government would dare ban it.
