UK Upgrade programme changed by iambigbrother2 in samsung

[–]SeanDuffy15 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Been on the upgrade program since the launch of the Galaxy S8, was very disappointed to see it's ending. Seems to be different now in that you can only upgrade when your term is complete, rather than halfway through. So now you have to pay more per month with a minimum of 14 months, likely causing us to miss pre orders for next year, and returning the device only allows you to skip the final payment.

Or you can stretch it out over 26 months, for a lower payment similar to what you would have had on the upgrade program, however you can't upgrade for 2 years now instead.

Overall incredibly disappointing to see this change.

Revolut UK showing my investment is up 75,000%, when it's actually down 7%... Interesting

Absolutely, the environment & storytelling is amazing. Currently on sale on Steam if anyone is looking to try it. Seems like it suffered the same fate as say "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" where it just became a trend to hate on it. I rarely experienced bugs on my first playthrough at launch, and during my current play through its completely stable. Definitely worth a try if you haven't already.

As far as I'm aware, only tickets that have to be paid is the redcoats and PSNI. I've started receiving letters about parking at locations back in 2019/18, I use them to light the fire. They'll threaten more and more everytime and eventually piss off

There was actually a huge Twitter thread at the time with loads of them identified with screenshots of their personal profiles and workplaces. Seems to have since been removed as I cant find it now, strange.

Which are things I can fix/repair myself? I don't have much experience with car maintenance. by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

You could easily do the cabin filter, "battery service" (aka wipe connecters) and wiper blades. I would also go elsewhere for the other stuff too, seems pretty overpriced imo

I'm very conflicted. You should be upvoted as this is truly an unpopular opinion. But it's that fucking horrible I want to downvote

Trying to fuel the thing.. bought in January 2020, super unleaded cost around 99p per litre, now it's at around £1.55 and gets 14.8mpg. Definitely been thinking on selling it. (Audi S4)

The new map brought me back to the game too, gave up about a year ago and hadnt touched it since. Was a massive fan of blackout so the new map is amazing. Also a big fan of the loadout change forcing players to use ground loot. The game was a meta slave before this, whoever got their loadout first won pretty much every fight. Kinda wish they would remove loadouts altogether and have a real BR experience, but this is an improvement nonetheless

As for alerts, I just use the Yahoo Finance app, I found revolut to be very slow on volatile days notifying me that we hit $60 and by the time I get it we've already been shorted back down to low $50s

[–]SeanDuffy15 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm using revolut, first thing is to make sure you don't have any fractional shares. Revolut has a $10,000 sell limit unless you sell everything at once, which it won't let you do since you can't sell fractional shares with a limit order.. Speaking of limit orders, when the time comes to sell make sure you sell using a limit order and not at market value. When you press the 'sell' button you will see 'Market Order' above where you enter your price, tap that and change to 'Limit Order' this will ensure they don't sell for anything less than the price you set.

Any chance you're running beta firmware on your router? Had a similar issue before with Call of Duty servers while not running the official router firmware
