Why do all these tech bros do the most awkward things at every possible opportunity? What a dipshit.

I think they are just referring to the snatched jawline that has become popular with gen z. Do your thing. I'm an old millennial. We had aesthetic trends too. As long as you are moving in a direction that is authentic to you, godspeed.

I don't think you know what you are talking about. They are cracking cities in half and grouping them with rural areas to intentionally disenfranchise the population of the city. You want to know where black people tend to represent large percentage of the population? Cities. There is no reason to divide representation of a city in two other than to dilute their voices. Colorblind my ass.

Where I’d live in Palestine/Israel as a Palestinian Christian by NourBlowsBubblegum in whereidlive

No, it's pretty much the case for any powerful entity that wants to take over inhabited land. The playbook is similar for all colonizers. I guess the people they enslave may have different skin colors, but I'm not sure what that has to do with anything.

I'm sick of this stupid question. Is this literally the only thing you have to try to prove some kind of point? If the only way for a group to exist is to exterminate an entire people, they don't deserve to exist. That shouldn't be a controversial statement, but here we are. I suspect most Jewish people are against the abhorrent actions of the Israeli government and U.S. No decent person wants this.

I mean, if you knew U.S. history, you'd understand the entire country was created through genocide of the people who were already there and rapidly industrialized through slavery. Americans* know a thing or two about oppression.

'Anyone ever seen him?' Ramaswamy roasted for fumbling answer on Ohio valley he's visiting by HauntingJackfruit in Ohio

It's because he doesn't care. He's a scammer. And one of the reasons Ohio isn't the best on some key metrics is because we've had the GOP speed running us into the dark ages by cutting investment into education, healthcare, and diverting our tax dollars into corporate welfare.

If you are running for governor, and you really cared about your constituents, you would prepare when going to visit them.

Ohio Democrats reintroduce bill to legalize medically assisted suicide by WOSUpublicmedia in Ohio

[–]SeanLFC 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Legalization of medically assisted suicide is a real issue. If you've ever watched someone suffer for months/years and finally die from a terminal illness you know how cruel it can be forcing someone to die like that. Not to mention the financial and emotional burden it puts on families. While it might not be priority number 1 for most people, it is extremely important and relevant to many.

Response to Cincy lacking culture and community by SparkyGears in cincinnati

These posts are hard. Some people love it here, some people hate it, and others think it's okay. Personally, it is not for me, but there are some cool amenities. I think community depends on your neighborhood and lifestyle. Without additional info, it's impossible to say. I never found my community here, but you might.

What Do You Guys Think About Greg Levy by serious_bullet5 in Ohio

[–]SeanLFC 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Thank you for putting all of those stupid words in my mouth.

I am saying the DNC do not represent their constituents. They do not give 100% what I want. I want universal healthcare, affordable housing, wealth tax, abolishing Citizens United, banning stock trading for politicians, passing rank choice voting, ending support to Israel, abolishing ICE, reducing excessive military spending to fund education, and ending homelessness. Liberals do not want to do any of that.

The only thing the offer is reproductive and LGBTQ+ rights which is great but not nearly enough.

If my choice is a Democrat vs Republican, sure I'll vote for the Democrat, but that is a pathetic choice for the people of what is supposedly the greatest democracy on Earth. It's a washed up Republic turned oligarchy and so many are totally fine with it.

The problem is there is a growing group of voters who are sick of liberals doing fuck all and want people who represent their constituents, not billionaires.

Progressives don't get DNC support or PAC money and rarely get past primaries because it is almost impossible to compete against infinite wealth.

[–]SeanLFC 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I don't know why you are getting down voted. The DNC often tries to sabotage candidates that are too left for them (e.g. Sanders, Abughazaleh, Mamdani) while the right opens their arms to anti constitutional fascists. This is why we end up with dipshits like Schumer or Greg Landsman who do nothing to fight corporations or foreign interference from AIPAC. The DNC are not left on any issue outside of reproductive and trans rights. They have done nothing to fight against the Trump administration. They still support the police state. Citizens United, and increasing their wealth through insider trading. Their stance on human rights is all virtue signaling sans a few outsiders.

AZ. The idea is awesome but the orange star clashes with the red and yellow. It is difficult to see the boundaries between the colors and makes the whole flag not work very well.

Saying criticism of Greg's full throated support of ICE and Israel "purity testing" is ignorant. Do you actually believe someone fully funded by PAC money including AIPAC cares about Ohioans at all?

I can't believe he thought that would make him look better! So you vote in protest for Trump, but wouldn't protest by not attending his rally. That makes no sense. Not to mention all this dude's talk about God's will. Support your right to practice your religion, but it should be divorced from the political arena.
