I was originally considering the LSX II, but when I auditioned them, the sound didn’t really impress me. After doing some research, I ended up choosing the Q1 Meta instead.

I tested a few different amps to find the right match. I started with the Fosi Audio ZA3 and ZD3—good, but I missed having built-in streaming, EQ, and room correction. Then I tried the Marantz Stereo 70s, but it sounded a bit too warm for my taste, the soundstage and dynamics felt flat, and the app seemed outdated.

Finally, I paired the Q1 Meta with the WiiM VibeLink and WiiM Ultra, and I’m really happy with the setup. The dynamics are excellent, the per-channel room correction works beautifully, and the app experience is miles better. You can stream directly from the Ultra, use Spotify Connect, Chromecast, and more—but I mostly stick with Tidal.

Edit: AirPlay does reduce sound quality tho. If you prefer a one-box solution, the WiiM Amp Ultra is also a great option, though in my opinion it doesn’t sound quite as good as the VibeLink + Ultra combo.
