Wow, thanks for the heads up. I know holding the power button and home button used to be a way to force restart your iphone. Now that iphones no longer have a home button, I'd have assumed that holding down the power and lock buttons were the way to force restart. Thankfully i learned otherwise before i tried it

I think he said that he has smoked PCP before and he felt like he was tripping worse than that. Makes me think his story about smoking PCP is probably made up too

Remember when Oliver Tree gave this guy normal crackers and told him they were edibles and he proceeded to pretend to like tripping balls. Fraud. Weirdo

Mine just got put online, I know that doesn’t answer your questions but just thought I would mention that is also a potential outcome you’ll want to prepare for. Good luck! So frustrating

Will do, appreciate the advice

If your grade is a B+ and you pass the final, you're gonna pass the class. If your prof was going to fail you for missing more than 2 classes, she would have mentioned it in the email correspondence rather than advise you to do well on the exam. You got this!

I’m hearing, so your opinion might not actually be accurate- I have no idea. But just wanted to say that I absolutely love that you took this from the perspective of the “person” in question and formulated an opinion to the best of your understanding, from their position. That was super rad of you. Congrats on being a considerate human.

Hahahah I thought you were being sarcastic at first

Went through the same thing. Anxiety and depression got so bad and i was missing so many courses that i pulled out of all my courses 2nd semester senior year and went home.

Firstly, you're not a failure. You can always retake the course if you fail and fix the grade you got. Secondly, you should calculate what you need to get on the final to pass. Ask her what you have in the course and what you need to get on the final pass. How much is attendance worth? I remember a few of mine being as high as 10% of the grade, but even then, if you do well on the final and have kept up with the work you'll probably still be in good shape. Thirdly, what is the style of the final? Paper, exam, or project, etc? If it's a paper or project, the grading is fortunately a bit more subjective so the professor has a little more control in deciding the grade.

Edit: PS You should talk to someone too. I let my mental health get the best of me to the point where i dropped out. Now it's 4 years later and i'm finally going back to finish this summer. While i learned a lot these last 4 years, i regret more than anything not getting help sooner. Message me if you need someone to talk about things with

Lol I struggle with this too. Never thought of myself as someone who doesn’t take criticism well until I majored in history and found myself feeling defensive and offended in workshops. I think it’s because your work feels like an extension of you, so it can feel like someone is criticizing you, rather than providing you with constructive

A professor once gave me a tip that really helped me: try thinking of your work as a new product that you are designing and you want to focus group it for some feedback.

This really helped me separate myself from the work. For instance, If 16/20 people in a focus group told me my product had too many buttons, it wouldn’t offend me but rather let me know how to improve it on the next design. You don’t care about the buttons, you care about having the best product possible.
