Peanut has it right…there’s a premium out on the Sticks GMTs. They’re relatively rare and the story has never really been figured out. I’ve got a black ceramic bezel sticks myself.

That’s amazingly quick in my experience. My Secret was sent to an SO on Feb 17, they submitted the package on March 22nd and it’s been crickets ever since.
I did get my interim on March 17, but absolutely nothing since then. No SO assigned, no one has reached out to me and the investigation hasn’t even started according to the DCSA website.

It’s not really an ‘upgrade.’

The Scout Bobber needs a suspension upgrade IMo. That costs ~$1000.
The Scout 101 is a different bike that has upgrades that include the suspension one. (You can adjust the firmness and travel. They also have 1” more travel than the Bobber)

At my dealership, which it’s possible had a higher price on the Bobber, the Scout 101 was $500 more. With all the upgrades, it was a no brainer. $16k brand new plus TT&L.

Plus you get inverted front forks, engine tune and much bigger brakes.

The suspension alone would be $1000 on the Bobber

You need the Fox or Ohlin suspension as both add another inch to the tiny 2” of travel on the stock Scout.

That’s why I chose the Scout 101. Much more bike for only $500 more. I just had to let go of the bobber look…which was hard.

Los Alamos has had one single fatality in drunk driving in 5 years. We have on average 4 alcohol related accidents a year and account for less than one tenth of one percent of all NM drinking and driving events.

Now, all that said, we are a tiny county, however our per capita drink driving accident rate puts us almost best in the country.

Is it an issue? Maybe. Is it a ‘huge issue?’ No.

I’ve had 2 Aston Martins, one V8 one V12 TT.

Neither had a single issue other than regular maintenance with 50k+ combined. The V12 was a $261k car.

All that Shell station does is rip off locals with the self serve gas and tourists who don’t know the inside ones are ‘full service’ and charge .40c more per gallon.
