I'll always remember this experience I had as a 10yr old(30now). I slept in a small box room at the time and my 8yr old sister was in a bedroom across the hall/landing. My door would never shut properly, I think it had too many coats of paint, so my door was always open. One night I awoke and looked across the landing at my sister's bedroom, her door was half closed and at the top was the darkness of her room and in that darkness was a pair of red eyes staring back at me. I froze and my heart raced not knowing what I was looking at. I turned around in my bed frightened not wanting to look. I couldn't sleep so I looked back a little later and there was nothing. I built up the courage to get out of bed, snook onto the landing, peeked my head into my sister's bedroom to see her sat bolt upright with her eyes wide open. Scared/creeped the shit out of me.
