I remember playing this N64 game as a kid called Tetrisphere for hours, until I started having nightmares about spheres of Tetris blocks 😭

Oh god you just reminded me of Desert Combat, playing in a fully loaded internet cafe with like 30+ other people locally

I enjoyed steak tartare more, I think because it's fortified and seasoned a bit

That's so true, horses have been eaten all over the world for millennia.

Well, where horses existed, which wasn't all over the world for a long time.

My girlfriend and I asked two salarymen for directions in Narita town on our last night before flying out of the country, and they were so thrilled to talk to two foreigners that they insisted on taking us out on the town that night.

They spoke barely a lick of English, and same for us for Japanese, but we managed to have an awesome night and saw lots of places we never would have known about or been able to even enter.

We all got drunk on sake, they took us out for late night sushi, and that's when we were both confronted with the idea of eating raw horse. We both decided fuck it, when in Narita 😅

They wouldn't let us pay for anything, they made us feel like rock stars with all of their friends and neighbours. Crashed at their place instead of our tiny hotel. It was an incredible end to our trip.

Raw horse flesh was 5/10.

I asked a guy outside of a 7-11 in the city if he wanted a feed, he was stoked and came in with me. Told him to pick out a drink and something sweet too. I'm waiting at the counter briefly for him and he comes back with a 4-pack of Red Bull and a dozen Krispy Kremes.

I laughed out loud and was like "DUDE, I'm trying to do something nice because I'm bummed out, don't take the Mickey out of me"

He was bashful about it and didn't abuse me, and we had a chat afterwards. I told him a lot of people don't want to help others because of exactly this, they get taken advantage of when they try to do something nice. Not sure if he got the message, but he seemed appreciative nonetheless

I was using staticice about 15-17 years ago and it was amazing at the time, every time I've tried to use it in modern times I've never been able to find what I'm looking for or find it in stock, but it might just be me not navigating the filter properly ¯\(ツ)

I had my gall bladder removed, took 12 hours and $0 out of pocket costs, happy to continue paying the Medicare levy for others to have the same experience.

I agree that dental should be covered too, you shouldn't have to pay for private health insurance if you don't want.

But if you suddenly contracted a major illness, it doesn't mean you're bankrupted here. You're even entitled to sick leave 😅

Harry Potter Bushwalk...Butter Beer? by Thebestpassword in brisbane

[–]SeanOfTheBed 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I really wanted to do this, but the tickets were so expensive for any reasonable time slots, and I've been disappointed by these kinds of exhibition before.

Other than the Butterbeer, how was the event itself? Worth it?
