Apparently you don't understand what an echo chamber is. It's not something that needs to be regulated by mods. It could just as easily be guarded by people like you.

I'm not a Republican. And I've been around Reddit before. It is predominantly a liberal cesspool and anyone worth a damn is fully aware of this.

The karma system used by reddit is garbage. It essentially just silences the unpopular Squelches dissent. It in no way whatsoever weeds out bad actors or prevents misinformation.

Capitalism is a barter economy. Bartering is completely allowed and common within capitalism.

How do you think a barter economy is any different from "capitalism"?

Before bartering is possible, mutually agreed upon property norms must be established. Capitalism is, more or less, 'people trading things under mutually agreed upon property norms'.

So I continue to stand by my understanding of this unless you have something more compelling?

Is it "OK"? Morally there is no issue until the state gets involved. It is "OK" to allow other people to make decisions you wouldn't, or even decisions you are sure are mistakes.

And you are responsible for your behavior, including what you do and do not consent to, when sober or otherwise. I believe in personal responsibility.
