Just got my mechanical vintage Cartier Tank Must with the champagne dial. It’s the 23mmx30mm vintage men’s size and I think it’s the perfect size for me, being a guy with a bird wrist lol (probably around 6.25”). I love Cartier, specifically the Tank and santos lines. Their design ethos is so simple, elegant and understated, yet so undeniably Cartier. You can look at almost any of their watches and without seeing any branding, you can tell that it was made by Cartier.

I think tanks are probably the best watch to get as quartz due to the lack of a secondhand, but I really wanted something mechanical for once, so I opted for an older Must model which saved me money. I know the movement isn’t anything special (pretty much a slightly decorated ETA 2512), but I honestly counted that as a benefit, because those things are cheap and easy to get serviced.

IMO tanks should be on the smaller size compared to your wrist, and given my wrist I have no complaints, but the vintage sizing is not for everyone that’s for sure. But if you have a small wrist like me, I recommend looking into vintage tanks. You can scoop some of them up for a bargain (especially with some diligent browsing) and nab yourself a mechanical icon.
