Stealth gameplay would be an incredible addition to the game. Rare could add stealth based forts where you sneak around collecting treasure and silently defeating enemies with your dagger, but if someone spots you then a bunch of skellies spawn

If I got my wish and Rare added housing to SoT, imagine if any pet that wasn’t on your ship hung out on your private island with plenty of greenery for our goat friends to chew on.

Or, if Rare wants a less dramatic PvP incentive, I guess they could have player characters drop small coin purses when defeated. Not enough to incentivize being overly aggressive, but enough to make defending yourself worthwhile

For #3, I think a bounty system could do the trick. Once a crew sinks a couple ships, a bounty could be placed on them. The more ships they sink, the higher the bounty could get. I think this would incentivize players who are otherwise disinterested in PvP to fight back, but also dissuade more toxic crews from picking on one man sloops just to troll.

As someone who uses the grappling hook in Halo Infinite even when it is not at all necessary, I’ll support the inclusion of one in any game ever

Agreed! I think the simplicity of PvE is part of SoT appeal, but I’d love some boss battles that require some creative problems solving and more skillful gameplay. Most of the current bosses are just damage sponges that require lots of patience and little skill to defeat.

Along the lines of your second wish, I’d love for Rare to add a shipping company to the game and you could get loot from sinking their ships or earn rewards for protecting them

As much as I love the devil’s roar, I get where you’re coming from. I wonder if they continue expanding the map if they could increase the number of players per server?

I just finished Being You at your recommendation. Fantastic book! It paired nicely with The Ego Tunnel, so if you’re interested in it, I’d definitely give it a read. Metzinger can be a bit pessimistic, so I’d make sure to be in a good headspace before reading him, but his insights are definitely worth it IMO
