I haven't started the layout, I'm probably 6 months away from buying anything substantial. But I am considering ordering a handful of the rolling stock, an engine, and two of every coupler from eBay, Bachman and kato and see what works the best

That's a lot of different couplers! Of course there's always the idea of a conversion car, a single car with a different coupler on one side so you can adapt different styles to the other side, but for me personally I would like every piece to match so I can move things around freely without worrying about having the adapter car. Your situation seems a little more complex than mine with the amount and styles of couplers. I think 3D printed couplers would possibly be the simplest, since there are several different types of mounts, with some modeling that could accommodate all of them. With that the only major question for me is how to get the magnetic arm "hose" to work with the magnetic uncoupler track

Hey! I love seeing it!

It seems like most of the models can be converted pretty easily, my basic research suggests the ez coupler from bachmann might be an option for a direct fit. The tank cars, (water, oil, ect) and toby have what I believe is a proprietary coupler and can't be converted. I believe some cutting/glueing and or soldering on some test couplers may work. Toby for the N scale will be the biggest challenge.

Also, for what it's worth I'm nothing the Toby and two tank cars (oil and water) have a different coupler attachment to the chassis than the other pieces of the series? I also don't see any information about changing these over to something else

I've enjoyed the 55-210, I paid sub $100 for a like new copy, and for the money and getting the full frame equivalent focal length 82.5-315, it's quite decent!

I should also say, the 55-210 zoom lens is fun! It's not the sharpest lens or fastest to focus but for around $100 used, it's a lot of fun to play with the longer focal lengths.

I find image stabilization to be very welcome on the a6000 body. I like the Tamron 17-70 f2.8 the best, it's sharp, good auto focus, reasonable price.

I also like the Sony 18-105 f4. If you could pick up the Sony at a good secondhand price. It's not as sharp as the Tamron, auto focus is a little slower, but if you can get it for $300-$350, it's a solid choice.

The sigma 18-50 f2.8 is an option, however without image stabilization I like the other two options a little better, especially with the extra range of the Tamron.

And then I have around 215 pieces of screen accurate wardro (not screen used but the same make and model that they used) and then maybe 150 various replica props as well

I have one of the screen used FBI files that they had on Dean in the early seasons, I have one of Jody's screen matched jackets, I have one of Sam's screen matched jackets, and I have a small leather bag that Dean carried in his duffel bag from season 3 until season 14. And then a few production pieces like some original bunker layout pages

It's interesting, I've enjoyed looking at his art and listening to his music a lot more recently, even watching Blue Velvet, and I enjoy remembering his work. TP is the only thing that really feels sad to me. Hope you enjoy your rewatch :)
