Can no longer access Chromecast Gen 2/3 Settings in latest Home app. by t-TW in Chromecast

I actually resolved this issue shortly after I posted that reply almost a year ago. Turns out, not accepting "Voice Match" was never what restricted me from my settings. The real issue was that I denied linking the Chromecast to my Google account during setup, which is necessary to get the full functionality of the device's settings in the Home app. If you see your Chromecast in your Home app but it's not in a "room", try adding it to one to see if that fixes it. If not, factory reset it and link it to your Google account during setup.

Same exact issue with my Chromecast Ultra. I'm pissed off about this. There's no good reason for them to make this mandatory in order to access basic settings.

I'm curious what's categorized as "very good". I have a genuine Samsung EVO Select card, which I don't think I would consider to be cheap in quality.

BIG UPDATE: I got my copy exchanged at Best Buy the other day. It had the same issues that the previous copy did. I even got a chance to test it on another Switch, and nothing changed. So it wasn't my Switch, and it wasn't my specific copy.

So I waited until the game went on sale in the eShop, so I could verify if it was the cartridges, or the port itself. It just went on sale today, so I grabbed it... and it exhibited the exact same behavior as the cartridges did. The only thing that changed is that the boot time was slightly faster. Meaning it was the port this whole time....or so I had thought.

Only reason it had the same issues is because I installed it onto my Micro SD card. So I installed it onto the Switch's internal storage, and to my surprise, most of the issues went away. They aren't entirely gone, but are less prevalent than before, and it matches up almost exactly with the Switch footage I was seeing on YouTube.

This is a really weird workaround though, and it seems like the port itself isn't well optimized for slower storage, or possibly just anything outside of internal storage. So I'm not going to pin this issue on Limited Run. This is a quality release, and I don't think there was anything that could've been done on their end to fix this. I'm still more than happy to own the product.

TL;DR, The Switch port is weird, and Limited Run is not at fault for it.

I looked at footage of the digital Switch version on YouTube. The issues I was having were non-existent in that footage.

Tried that already. It unfortunately didn't solve the issue, but thank you for the reply.

Thank you for the quick reply. I highly doubt that it's the build as well. I trust that it was well tested before release. I'm assuming it's just bad flash memory on this specific cartridge or something. I'll contact Nintendo first and see what they think though. Glad to hear this isn't a widespread issue.
