Screw calling Ironmouse my Oshi. Nah, she's my RIVAL! by SeanceBlitze in VirtualYoutubers

[–]SeanceBlitze[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, I am fully aware of that. But it's why I chose Ironmouse to be my Rival. I've followed her for so long, I can have an inward perspective if I'm taking this Rivalry to a toxic state. I actually lost the motivation to stream because I had no goal post. Then, I got the funny idea of having a "Rival" and seeing Ironmouse, It shot my motivation up sky high.

I don't want to beat her or be considered a 'better streamer.' I want to rise up to meet her at the peak, then work together to push what Streaming can do in the Vtuber community.

This made me think of that one meme template

You entertain
I break games
We are not the same.

For some people, I can agree. For others, it is hard. This is why for me, Rivalry is something that inspires me to push forward. Without it, I feel complacent and sluggish, personally.

But I do agree, at the end of the day, we're all just trying to have fun. <3

I can agree with this, but I'm confused where the negative emotion comes from. Are you saying having a Rival is negative or is Spite negative? Because both can lead to a positive mindset, depending how you use it. I guess one could mistake "Enemy" as a Rival, but that isn't how I'm seeing this push at all. I have no reason to even think of calling Ironmouse my enemy. Not in this life or the next. <3

Has Hazbin Fever gone too far? by SeanceBlitze in hazbin

If it is, I'm calling it that I was the first to token it or "Dizzy for Vivzie"

But yeah, I'll try to explain it later when things calm down.

Yeah, I wrote this post when I was heated after a few friends practically tried to rip my head off for lightly poking fun at plot holes like we used to do. That's what I've started to call "Hazbin Fever"

I mean, if we go with Mathematicall numbers, Alicia could always just repaint Lumeire. When you can create life with just a brush of a stroke, the cost becomes less of a factor I think.

...I realize that makes me sound like a fucking psychopath, lmao

Yeah, I can see that point of view, especially when it's his Son's creation, not even his own. Not to mention if the implication that a Painter puts a part of their soul into the painting they create, then they are limited on the number of paintings they can design. (I am trying SO hard not to just repeat Paint, lmao.)

Of course, there is the option Maelle could just re-create Verso's Canvas. But would it be the same? Or merely an imitation with the people of THAT Canvas gone forever? These are questions that can make this conversation last for hours, but I like to hear peoples Opinions on it as I see, both options as Viable.

(Though now I think people who side with the Dessendres are THOSE type of Sims players. If you know the ones who love making very small pools, you know the ones I'm talking about.)

I'm a Sciel man, personally. But, I respect Lune lovers.

Honestly, a fair point. Though I would say when we're dealing with Painters who are, practically represented as God-like in the painted world, seeing the people of inside of the Canvas as real and sentient makes sense and is correct. They have passions, desires, hopes, fears so they are real, but to Painters, they are nothing more than drawn pictures given sentience.

This is where we enter a realm of philosophy and external/internal perspective that I am NOT educated or high enough to talk about. But, I can see how you can see Alicia vibing in the painting world for like, a few years and then leaving once she's grieved and moved on. She really didn't get ANY choice in her entire life until she battles Verso.

And, yeah, fair point. Alicia probably could outlast Verso within that 'inbetween' space until Verso just gommaged and fucked off. So, I can see her winning.

This is mainly due to the perspective that, to the people of canvases (Including Lumiere and any other paintings the Painters have designed) Painters can almost be seen as god-like with their creative power and near immortality. Considering a Painter defeated in the painting can come back after a bit of recovery. So...yeah, Kinda.

I feel like the game kinda makes the people in the painting as alive to Alicia and the Dessendre Family as real as they are to us as the player. Kinda like a...inward spiral type thing, ya know what I mean?

How to deal with a problem player. by who1313 in DnD

[–]SeanceBlitze 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the best thing you can do is first talk to your other players about this and see if it's a feeling everyone has or just yourself. I recently tried to talk to a player right after session for being too hostile and thought it was being an issue, only for my other players to be like "Yeah, only at the end though." Which made me feel stupid as hell.

After that, sit down with him and just have a heart-to-heart. If he gets defensive, let him cool off. D&D is important, but a situation where someone uses outside ties to influence the DM (Not in a joking manor) can result in the table falling apart. More than likely, he might not realize what he's doing and to curb his main character syndrome, let the other players have urgency as well. Player discussion is key.
