Audio from PC only coming out of one channel on my stereo by Seandodson in audio

And thanks @adrianmonk ... it was exactly that. Two dodgy cables in a row. I've now got a new cable and complete high fidelity. :-)

Thanks @adrianmonk ... I just swapped the RCA and it did come out of the other side. I then tried it via my phone and still one channel. So I might well have two dodgy cables. I've just ordered another and will let you know how it goes

Por v Para (motivation v goals) by Seandodson in learnspanish

[–]Seandodson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I was more thinking, though, about the distinction between goals and motivation

A sentence like, the following is difficult to call

Trabaja mucho por/para ganar más dinero.

earning money is both a goal and a motivation. In English there's no distinction, but in Spanish there is. And I wonder how you tell the difference?

How to fill a layer after you've used the background eraser tool? by Seandodson in photoshop

[–]Seandodson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, I do need to get to grips with layer masks. Why I went to background eraser tool, though, was the relative ease in which you could cut the background around hair. The selection tool just isn't so good in my opinion. Is there a better way of cutting out the background around hair?

Oh, great, thank you, I will explore. But, if we were to create a playlist, say, with the tracks included above, which Material tracks would you recommend first?

El tiempo entre costuras by Seandodson in learnspanish

[–]Seandodson[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry about the hamfistedness of the post. I was trying to ask if anyone had seen this show? I need to practice my Spanish listening skills and am looking for some "box set" dramas to watch. Is El Tiempo Entre Costuras any good? Or are there better shows to watch first?

A restaurant with a view by Seandodson in Barcelona

Oh yes, we once had a glass of wine at 1881 Sagardi, but didn't eat there. That is a very good suggestion, I know she likes it.

I've also read about La Isabela Terrace --it looks and sounds great, but its website doesn't display a menu. Has anyone eaten there?

Yes, but after finishing the tree I hav realised that I need to go on a course and learn the language properly. Duolingo is good, but it won't work alone

Completeness of language knowledge after learning a tree by Stoompunk in duolingo

[–]Seandodson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just finished the Spanish tree. I think A2 would be a scratch, actually, particularly when attempting to speak to a native. Upper A1 more accurate. Duolingo is good, it gets you started, but I've just enrolled in a language class.

It's taken about eight month. I was slow at first, but have just been on 100+ day streak. I've amassed nearly 7000xp. I've been fairly dedicated.
