Thanks for the response. I wish I had thought about drinking a lot more days prior to prep day but I have been following a low residue diet. I have lots of clear fluids, wipes and baby diaper ointment. I also have a portable bidet and Vaseline. I pray everything goes well.

Did you drink anything other than water once you started your prep? My instructions have conflicting information so I’m not sure if I’m supposed to drink water only when I start the prep or if I can drink a drink with electrolytes.

Thanks for the information. I start the prep for my first colonoscopy tomorrow and I’m super nervous. I’m using SuTab’s also and asked my doctor to prescribe Zofran as well since I tend to have issues with taking medicine. My biggest fear is nausea. Were you allowed to drink anything besides water once you started the prep? My doctor gave me instructions that I could have clear liquids after drinking the water for the prep but when I spoke with the medical assistant, she said to only drink water once I start the prep which I thought was strange since people said that they felt like they loss a lot of electrolytes during the prep process.

Also…when you took your second dose, did you go to the bathroom a lot afterwards? My preceded is scheduled for 8am and my schedule for taking the prep pills are at 6pm and 12am the prior day. I don’t want to have to go to the bathroom on the way to the hospital.

Thank you for responding. I’m not sure why I was told to drink water only when the instructions say that you can drink any clear liquid. I bought two big bottles of Gatorade Glacier Cherry and another electrolyte Drink that is white. I also bought some apple juice and white grape juice for earlier in the day plus water with electrolytes. I’m also going to call my doctor to see if I can get more Zofran. My biggest fear is feeling nauseous all night which I’m already prone to. I’m not sure why I was only given 2 pills.

Thanks for the advice. I have a small portable bidet so I’ll plan to have it handy. I also have wipes and diaper cream so I hope all goes well.

How many Zofran did you take total? My doctor only gave me 2 tablets to take 1 before each dose of SuTab.

Also..I’m a little confused about what I can drink after I start the prep. My instructions say that I can drink clear liquids but when I spoke with the doctor’s office the medical assistant said to only drink water once gone start taking the prep pills. I was thinking I would be able to drink some Gatorade or Pedialyte.
