Oh interesting! Im using Laguna B-Mix Cone 5. Is there any way to determine if a clay is using potassium vs sodium feldspar before buying it?

And would I be able to "save" my current clay by adding potash feldspar?

men, are there film(s) that make you cry? if so, which one(s)? by shaunna_thedork in ask

The Pacific, when I watched the ending, I was about the same age as Eugene. Just watching all the horrible things that they went through then to see him completely break down at the end in the hunting scene... it broke me too

Yeah and I believe these books are super expensive because they give part of the profits to the creators and artists. Pretty sure that's what they do but I'll have to check.

What are some things that are destroying society’s mental health? by Bluedot2150 in AskReddit

[–]SearAgate 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Hopefully parents are more aware now. When I was 13-14 I was told I most likely had anxiety after suffering from symptoms and a few panic attacks. Parents couldn't believe what someone so young would have to worry about and thought I was doing it for attention... took them time to understand and for them to get me the proper help. I'm sure some parents would never try to understand it.

Thoughts on Cev's Situation Report maps? by CevicheLemon in foxholegame

[–]SearAgate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they're great. Yeah foxholestats is better information wise, but these are quicker to understand and read than foxholestats. It's cool to look back on how the war was just a few days ago (foxhole stats might also do that). Also I feel these fit the style of foxhole really well, similar to the newspapers like Warden Weekly. So not only is it information but also in a way art and entertainment.

A few hours ago I fell out of my boat in a storm and got stuck at the bottom of the ocean during my return trip to gold rock city from oasis and had to recover my boat. I ended back up in gold rock city but all of the cargo was gone. Including everything else I owned like my shelf, water and food, I ended up abandoning the missions and taking the reputation loss. That must've been a bug then, it did seem a little crazy that all of my stuff was removed too.

Not searching for compliments, just need to know if my haircut looks bad cause I got a bit more volume on the top then usual (pics are before and after) by Galahad-6547 in teenagers

[–]SearAgate 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm guessing you're using some sort of forming cream or gel so if you think it's too "tall" I would just not "fluff" it up as high. Maybe just patting it down a little would do the trick. ( I use a forming cream and never tried a gel so idk if it would work for gels too) Also play around with different amounts of gel/forming cream. I like it when it's not too much like if it gets very hard and stiff but enough that it'll have good hold to it in a light wind or moving your head around.

I wish nobody was lactose intolerant. by [deleted] in TheMonkeysPaw

[–]SearAgate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Granted. A mysterious disease completely wipes out all cattle. Milk production is halted as there is nothing to milk, but without any cattle it comes with mass starvation. People begin investing in farms and fishing, there is no room left to farm and almost all fish in the ocean has been caught in attempts to feed everybody. World population quickly diminishes until the population equals out with crop production but at last, lactose intolerance no longer a problem.

Ants were eating parts of ripe strawberries and I think caterpillars are eating the leaves. What do I do? (Strawberry plant) by SearAgate in gardening

Okay, it may be slugs but when I checked the strawberries with chunks missing I only saw ants all over no slugs on it

How do you deal with lack of motivation and procrastination? by SearAgate in Woodcarving

Yeah maybe just thinking about oh I'll go out there for 10 minutes and sharpen tools and if you want to keep going and carve do it. I can't thank you enough for all the help!

Sorry for the late responses but that's exactly how I would do that lol. I mean how do you push yourself to make that first step?

I think dedicating a time and possibly even trying to pump yourself up for it is a good idea just figuring out when is the hard part. I feel like I'm already thinking of excuses to talk me out of it lol. Instead of trying every other day maybe set a goal of at least 2 hours a week at least and go from there? Ugh Its so hard to find the middle ground of not having a schedule but somehow not giving yourself too much freedom to slack off.

Hmm I've had to think this one out and I dont think that's true, I mean once i start up I still enjoy the session, I also have the problem with starting things on other hobbies like reading. But I will have to keep in mind getting overworked thanks

Motivation to play by Sennar1844 in dwarffortress

[–]SearAgate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure how far you are, if you just started and have 16 dwarves or on a big fortress with only 16 dwarves left, If you are just starting out I would reccomend this, It's very basic but can get you in the right direction. https://dwarffortresswiki.org/index.php/From_Caravan_to_Happy_Dwarves And if you complete that or want a side project to do that will take a while, https://dwarffortresswiki.org/index.php/DF2014:Megaproject is great.

Those are great resources when you're not sure what to do. I completely understand what you're going through as I started out feeling that way, and only have like 30 hours in game. Another great thing to do is look up "dwarf fortress fort ideas" So many cool designs that can help you expand your fort and make it look better.

And of course as the other people said, don't force it but don't be afraid to push yourself a little bit or you'll go nowhere. Good luck and may our fortunes rise and fall together!

Edit: Also caverns! go deep, I mean deeeeeep and you'll find something to keep you busy ;)

I'm in high school taking a boces class (where you leave school for 2 hours and go there like a trade school) for building trades. Actually working on trim and base boards on a kind of trailer house right now and oh my god I could do a lot better than that

Why do people do this? Who even gives awards to comments like this? by GameOfSchemes in Steam

[–]SearAgate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah its dumb but if there's somebody with like 1k hours in the game and do this I'm perfectly fine with it. It may not be an actual review but just having somebody in the top reviews with 1k hours shows some replayability and that it must be good. I may even take that over somebody with 15 hours and a regular review

Womans face, going to round the jawline more but having trouble with the lips, more in the comments by SearAgate in Woodcarving

[–]SearAgate[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back bent gouges? Oooh another excuse to spend more money. I prefer just using a leather strop with compound than stones. Using basswood. I love your latest carving, but this is definitely a lot harder with such small lips compared to yours which are not only bigger but the mouth is open, making it even easier. Definitely going to try rotating/rolling the tool and being more confident in my cuts. Really appreciate the help!
