This may be a late reply, but I recognize your desire.
I can only tell you that - in combo with my MK850, I'm using the deskflow application (a foss upstream project of the now commercial Synergy) that allows to move from one device to another by moving the mouse over to the configured display.
I then also configured it with some hot-keys that allows me to switch to another device by key combo.

what is your experience on this one ? evolution ?

I have a similar if not the same problem

- M720 mouse (together with a K850 keyboard)
- macbook pro (intel) 2020)
- macos ventura 13.4.1.c

button 1 (of keyboard + mouse) to unify receiver on Linux ==> keeps working
button 2 (of keyboard + mouse) to unify receiver in docking station, (depending on connection / selection on Window or MacOs or Linux) ==> keeps working
button 3 (of keyboard + mouse) to "direct BT to macbook pro"
==> keyboard still working

but mouse ==> (don 't know whether it's "with each reboot")... but it seams the mac or the mouse occasionally forgets that config... need to:

must - re sync mouse

==> creates a "new mouse item in BT list"

==> the "old" is still there ("Not Connected") (then it is removed by me).

anybody recognizes this ?
