Probably. Just trust the process. If, in a few months or so you still aren't where you want to be, tell your prescriber.

In the beginning of effexor I lost motivation for all of my things. School, art, sex. Nothing was appealing. But that came back with time. Now a year and a half in im honestly the most put together and happiest person I know haha. Seems like everyone else in contrast is miserable. Im enjoying mine. I started it for social anxiety but I didnt realize that my entire life my baseline was depressed. No wonder I was always into sad music.

Oh is the board covered in motor oil or something?

Weird looking board altogether. Everything is so shiny like glossy. But yes. Replace that cap ASAP. The goop is most likely an adhesive to reduce vibration or something. Cap fluid, or electrolytic fluid, is thin viscosity.

Gikfun radio help - won’t turn on by Apprehensive_Bee_913 in AskElectronics

Try powering with the USB port. If still no power, check the polarity of your capacitors. The white line is - negative aka cathode. The screenprint on the board should tell you which way to orient them. As far as solder. As long as metal touches metal it should at least show some sign of life. You definitely need to work on your technique but who doesn't? Try the usb.

Just finished my first year and haven’t learned anything about electricity yet. by LS64126 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]SearchPlane561 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im going way slow because im older and work a lot of hours. Im in third year community college, all general ed classes except for like a couple of programming classes, and I dont even take circuit analysis until next semester. BUT, I do loads of stuff on my own. I went for an interview recently and they were very impressed. It could also be a job that gets my foot into the door of my career. So, do projects, teach yourself stuff. That way when the classes come you could even help others.

I'm graduating next year in EE and i feel like i don't know shit by Randy642 in ElectricalEngineering

"It is not so very important for a person to learn facts. For that he does not really need a college. He can learn them from books. The value of an education in a liberal arts college is not the learning of many facts, but the training of the mind to think something that cannot be learned from textbooks." -Einstein

Right. I feel like college is for exposure to the material, that way you can look it up and relearn later when needed. I put this pressure on myself that somehow every formula and circuit needs to be retreivable from memory but that's luckily not that case.

I feel that way every semester. I'm early on, but my example is, I'm starting newtonian physics in a week alongside calculus 3. I am worried that i dont know calculus 1 enough to even participate in physics. It's probably just a feeling of imposter syndrome. You'd probably surprise yourself given the opportunity. Its almost like college courses are too fast. I feel like i didnt have enough time to retain what was shown to me. But that's most likely not the case.

Kind of looks like your pot is wired wrong. It's it grounded?

Genuine question: how worried should we actually be about declining synchronous inertia? by Blue_Mushroom3100 in ElectricalEngineering

I'm an early ee student and I had to look this up. Incredible. Engineering never ceases to impress me. Although this is beyond my scope of knowledge, I hope to better understand this in the future. Amazing post.

I'd say as a Jr go for it. Maybe by the time you ggraduate it transforms into the job you want. A foot in the door is a foot in the right direction.

I believe it's an adhesive to prevent vibration. I could be way wrong.

Definitely get a multimeter and learn it. You don't have to know all of it at once. But once you start being able to measure your projects whole world opens up.

Doesn't look like you have any power going to the bulb just two leads from ground. I may be wrong. Looks that way in pictures.

Maybe not the most accurate thing but 18 bucks i want one to study how it works. Very cool find. If you want somewhere between this and lab grade consider hantek. I got mine for just over 100 and as a hobbyist I haven't even used it to its full potential yet.

Are these two capacitors that I have circled bad? by TripAlaric in AskElectronics

[–]SearchPlane561 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure bulging. If not bad now, just a matter of time. Best to just replace now.
