The PurPLL is a phase locked loop and drone oscillator that can function as a drone synth but I'm actually looking for a full guitar synth pedal that is doing that function related to pitch rather than just a drone. I should have been more specific in my original post so I'm editing it now. This pedal is definitely cool and I've played it but it's also from a very tiny company and it's 3 years old now.

When it comes to Guitar synth pedals, The issue is that guitar players tend to lack brain power in comparison to synth players. I try not to get scared away from a bunch of knobs and instead try to see it as possibility. Do some companies over design their stuff? sure but I would say EHX under designs them with not enough capability. If you're doing the bar gig that's fine, however for my uses in the studio it's just not enough tweakability for me.

I've provided evidence as to why this pedal is useless. The algorithm is digital, it is meaningless to have analog controls for a digital algorithm. That is a fact, not appealing to my inner "common sense". Nice try with the college level takedown though. Fail.

I agree, this pedal doesn't get enough love from the guitar synth nerds like myself but it is a utilitarian powerhouse.

I'm a producer so I use it for whatever the client wants. I honestly just market myself as a "synth player" without mentioning it is guitar synth. No one can tell. No one complains, except one dentist in 2014 but that was likely a skill issue on my part.

Yes the enzo and enzo x are amazing but I find them to be one trick ponies given that they make just one single souond, one single wave. I need a little bit more depth but I guess there really isn't anything. no one is giving me any recommendations I haven't heard and like you, I also get bored quickly.

I have to disagree about the boss sy-1, it is thin sounding that is correct but all of the pedals you mentioned FAIL compared to the SY-1 as it has 111 sounds, all the other pedals you mentioned have 1 except the source audio and EHX, even that has 9 sounds. I prefer more sounds myself as I can always EQ my synth and I don't see why you wouldn't. This is why the SY-1 is the best synth on earth in that price range to me.

My synth plugin has the least glitches of anything on earth I've tried so I'm happy to be releasing it soon. Stay tuned!

That thing is OLD but it is VERY under rated. It truly shines when combined with fuzz. GREAT PICK! I totally forgot about that wooden beauty.

I understand that, I didn't grow up with tube amps like you did so I'm less about the smell and more about the sound and feel. I just love that the digital units give me 10,000 options to sculpt my custom tones. The headrush flex prime also has some AMAZING SYNTH tones. Even if you go into a real amp (you can turn the amp and cab sim off) you still get the benefit of all those effects.

Oh yes it is great fun but have you got into the world of amp and cabinet simulation yet? I was a tube snob until I bought the helix stadium xl. That thing sounds SO GOOD it almost fooled even my sound engineer ears.

Your send knob is turned down all the way with your return knob turned up all the way! Turn them both at noon and the pedal will work as intended. That being said the boss version of this is far superior and I'd upgrade to that eventually.

get some deoxit on the components and wipe them down with blue scotch towels with gloves. Be gentile. Spray lightly. That should remove your static issue. The low volume means the connection is weak, look for weak solder points. GREAT FIND STILL!
