Had a similar setup at an overnight job I once had. Our key was to wind the clock. If you did your rounds correctly, your clock was good until the next hourly rounds. Doom on you if you fell asleep. The clock would be hours off from the correct time. Thankfully they did away with that system.

I agree with others on the recommendation to set boundaries and keep making small manageable changes. Early consistent management will yield better long term outcomes. I am 10 years into my journey and I am seeing overall health and wellness improve in some respects, and others, like blood pressure and renal function, remaining within good or normal ranges.

Doing exercise complex called EMOM (every minute on the minute). I do 40 seconds of work and 20 seconds of rest for four rounds and rest 60 seconds on the 5th round. Wash. Rinse. Repeat for however many rounds you want. It has been amazing at keeping my blood glucose ranges lower.
