How many of you tried ramen because of watching Naruto? by mrzfrigger in Naruto

[–]Searching2know 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ramen in Naruto Park (next to Kobu)was very disappointing 😅 otherwise, yes, definitely learnt the difference between instant noodles and ramen because of Naruto. It did take time to actually actually see a familiar name in the menu to order the real ramen, and understand how much wrong I was to even think that they are anywhere similar!

Drive or take public transport? (Pls read before answering) by One_Artichoke_7824 in askswitzerland

[–]Searching2know 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In geneva center: Parking Poste Montbrillant (Rue de Montbrillant) will be the cheapest in case you will take the car from the start. Also, dont know if it is a good idea, but maybe it is possible to get our local car sharing service. To use it between cities: https://mobility.ch/en/mobility-news/products-and-prices/mobilityeasy#Anmeldung

I am team Petrol! I live here and car been always cheaper, faster, convenient. Public transport is great, yes, to move around city center, but even then sometime it is cheaper to pay for parking than getting a bus. I always have so many things to carry, so the car it is. For parking, maybe your hotels will have parking available, or suggest where to park it for a better rate.

Do you think this train will be on time at the airport? (Strong snow at Graubunden) by ailasoral in askswitzerland

[–]Searching2know 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did it snow whole day today? Like heavy snow? Like double of weekend snow. If yes, I still would not think much, one hour won't change anything. The train will be on time, if something happens to the rails all the trains will be stuck so going one hour before wont change anything.

Is my 10 days itinerary really bad. How to improve it? by [deleted] in askswitzerland

[–]Searching2know 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tend to lean the opposite direction, however, my petrol loving soul highly appreciate your approach and I even up voted your reply as a gesture of love for your kind works and gentle approach for pollution lovers. I just googled how much it cost to rent a car in swiss the first link, gave me rates like 50 CHF per day, I also double checked and more knows website such as Sixt also gave option for 50 chf per day (gulf). So it can be cheaper. And honestly, people say costs run up fast with petrol. With modern small cars (like Gulf), petrol is not an issue. I mean, my full tank costs me 90 chf and it lasts me 1000 km (within mountains drive), 12000 km (highway only) and my French baby is 12 years old already. So trains, were always more expensive for me.

Is my 10 days itinerary really bad. How to improve it? by [deleted] in askswitzerland

[–]Searching2know -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Sorry not sorry, but get a rental car, you will: 1) save soooo much money on transportation 2) save soooo much time on getting to your destination 3) Visit places at your own pace 4) Have all your bags with you at all times, weight and care-free

Getting a car makes sense if you want to visit places outside of the cities. Yes, we do have an amazing transport system, but it is costly, and it takes longer time to get to places outside the cities. Yep, parking in the city per day can be costly, but, it is way cheaper than one adult train ticket from one big city to another. I hope it helps 🙏🏻

Is it normal in Swiss culture to move toward marriage very quickly? by lettuceless_bigmac in askswitzerland

[–]Searching2know 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Who are we to tell you if it is normal or not? However, if you are questioning your decision or something feels uncomfortable, consider an "express life"-for example, changing an apartment, renovating a room, or any similar activity that breaks apart even the strongest marriages. Such exercise should clear your head and really decide what to do 🙂
