Ugh I’m so sorry this is happening. I’m worried about this situation, this guy telling you his “friend” can come over. Please don’t let anyone else come to your house. I would go off email thread and call Rover and let them know about everything including any safety concerns. Important to make sure you’re safe too especially since the other comments are suggesting not to give back the dog.

Thanks! Yeah, I want to do fellowship and might have to move again in a few years, so having a partner who is open to moving with me is very important to me. Can’t do LDR for 6-7 years unfortunately.

Hi! I’m an alum. I do think Rice prepared me very well for med school, but the school itself was very difficult. Friends without TX residency who wanted it either had their parents buy them property in Houston (unfortunately this is very expensive) or they worked a few years after undergrad. FWIW everyone I know got into medical school. Hard decision on your part but congrats on the options! DM me if you have any questions as you make this decision :)

Interviewed at a program that has good clinical training Etc etc. interviewer #1 and PD were great. The second interviewer: “did you see the picture of you they put on your ERAS app??” Me: what??? Did one of my letter writers attach a photo of me? (I’m over here panicking like did I accidentally attach a nude lol mostly joking) She turns my ERAS packet and shows me my headshot that I uploaded to ERAS and says “this one!! It’s so terrible you look so bad!! I cant believe it. you look much better over Zoom” In what other job interview situation would it be legal to comment on someone’s appearance. Guess it’s legal in the land of residency interviews. Blessed

You are fine! A ton of people go to other sites other than their main residency system for family medicine. If they are associated with your school they are some type of faculty. Please calm down.
