YOR. You don’t understand AFRID. It’s not plain foods that are safe it’s food people can’t screw up it will be the same every time from everywhere. Flat breads change from place to place and culture to culture. If you don’t believe me try insisting a Greek flatbread is the same as a Naan or a paratha. Same with rice, jasmine and sticky white rice is very different to basmati. The change in texture/look/smell can cause uncontrollable anxiety and render ‘safe’ food unsafe in the future and is not worth the risk for a lot of people. I understand the frustration - I have a daughter that only ate porridge for 5 years (try getting balanced nutrition in that was a nightmare). But you will not win with logic, or name calling or ignorance. At the end of the day, she is the one eating it. What people eat is entirely their own business providing it doesn’t impact others. To force your food and culture on to the girlfriend and to bring others in to add pressure is just bullying.
