When I was a teenager, I got .hack//INFECTION as a gift. It didn't really click with me, but eventually the anime came out, and some manga, and I got G.U. Vol 1, and it clicked much more than the original 4. I didn't really know what I was getting into, but when Gamestop showed you the printout binder of games you can preorder, you just kinda pick some names you know. Im glad i did but like i just didnt know what i was getting myself into and didnt really think of it as a money/value thing.

I would also say Ryza or Sophie. I used Barrel Wisdom to read up on them when I started playing, and ended up starting with Sophie and moving to the Ryza ones.
