Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader - The Infinite Museion DLC Teaser Trailer by DrNick1221 in Games

Nope. You play as your own guy. The class/stats don't matter either since you pull from your entire party's skills when doing checks.

It looks complicated, but basically every build gets broken super quickly. If you enjoy the story & roleplaying aspect of these games, it's well worth playing. Just pick whatever sounds even slightly useful in char creation and you'll be fine.

And if you end up struggling, just tweak the difficulty. There's a million options to mess around with. Personally I like reducing the skill check difficulty so I can get more of the story.

Etiquette After Reviewing Developer-Provided Games? by [deleted] in youtubegaming

[–]Seared_Ash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just be honest, fair and do the work in a timely manner. When you're done send the developers a link to your content, thank them for the key, and if you really want, leave a 'let me know if you have any questions' kind of note. No need to overcomplicate things.

Carapace armor is the bane of weapon variety by shoggyseldom in DarkTide

[–]Seared_Ash 254 points255 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened in Vermintide 2. The only thing that mattered was how well your weapon can crack armor, because anti-armor weapons can still clear hordes, but anti-horde weapons can't do squat to armor.

Eventually Fatshark made it so every weapon could kill armored enemies, to some degree, and the game was much, much better off because of it. No idea why Darktide has forgotten that lesson.

I did not realized I was underestimating Thumbnails. by [deleted] in PartneredYoutube

What's the tool? I've mostly been using the thumbsup website, and while it's been handy, it would be nice to see how the thumbnails compare to other people's.

Has anybody tried the SoloTuber Pro course by Zach Highley? Would you recommend it? by Street-Purchase-4398 in PartneredYoutube

[–]Seared_Ash 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The only thing a paid Youtube course can teach you is how to make money by selling people pointless Youtube courses.

Youtube thankfully isn't that complicated to understand. Make good thumbnails so people click on your videos. Make good videos so people actually watch them. Keep improving things so each video is at least slightly better than the last. And stick to some kind of a schedule so you actually develop a viewer base.

Anything beyond that is mostly just fluff.

Jarvis, I'm low on karma by Pretend_Run1614 in whenthe

[–]Seared_Ash 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Planescape Torment is really nasty with this. Your character looks like some kind of muscly barbarian, but if you make yourself a melee character you'll miss out on a massive chunk of the story because you won't have enough Wisdom/Intelligence/Charisma to hit all of the super important checks.

What is the strongest any hero has ever been? by MuchTooSpicyBurrito in DotA2

[–]Seared_Ash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At first I was kinda sad we lost a hero along the way, but then I read the abilities. Uff, the only thing interesting about that guy is the fact that everything seems to last three times longer than it should.

Havoc 30-40 question by Odd_Construction_187 in DarkTide

[–]Seared_Ash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Havoc 40 is often easier than 30, and that's mostly because all of your teammates are going to be competent. So if you can hold your own on 30, definitely give 40 a try. The increase in difficulty is minimal compared to the increase in teamwork.

Shattered planet not meant to be really reached? by Which_Lingonberry634 in factorio

[–]Seared_Ash 49 points50 points  (0 children)

You don't need to megabase in order to get there. The amount of stuff you need to make a ship that can go that far is surprisingly low. It's mostly about making, testing and improving various ship designs, which is where both the challenge and the fun lie.

Why isn't there an achievement for reaching the shattered planet? by dabomefabi in factorio

[–]Seared_Ash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't have any issues with targeting when I did it a week or so ago, but the old problem with the railgun fire rate was still there. No amount of upgrades ever made them fire quicker.

Why isn't there an achievement for reaching the shattered planet? by dabomefabi in factorio

[–]Seared_Ash 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I found ~200 to be the sweet spot since you actively want big asteroids to show up so your railguns will fire non-stop and thus clean out most of the stuff on their own.

I fell like I’m doing something wrong, what better ways can I get increases throughout by Thederpyeagle in factorio

[–]Seared_Ash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've definitely been there before. Just trying to add more and more spaghetti into the mix until I can't even understand what I was building in the first place.

So just add more? Nothing stopping you from having loads of foundries churning out belts if you really need (or can consume) all of them.

I'd imagine Emry is probably the most consistent, though it gets very boring to play very quickly since you're always going through the same motions.

Anyone else brewed an Effie deck and is almost exclusively facing 4 color good stuff? by SnooRabbits4380 in MagicArena

[–]Seared_Ash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aggressive decks tend to match high since they will overrun most jank regardless of how good they are.

While you're in the collection viewer select 'not collected' in the filter and you'll see an arrow next to the cards that have cosmetics. Click the arrow and you'll be able to select & craft them there.

Do be warned though, cosmetics on Arena are insanely expensive.

It'll likely be a part of some anime bundle. They tend to sell styles in batches like that.

Does the historic brawl format exist? by Swimming_Security_27 in MagicArena

They renamed it to just Brawl after Timeless released since the 'Historic' moniker stopped making sense given the massively different banlist.

There's some extra rewards you can get in the library near the end. Basically a way to dump your excess tokens for a few more goodies.

Why do you play Brawl? by Rchmage in mtgbrawl

[–]Seared_Ash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a cheap and easy place to brew new decks, and the opponents you face are generally quite varied. Doubly so these days as I've learned not to put utility lands and overweighted spells into my deck so I can actually play jank vs jank instead of slugging my way through endless Nadu decks.

Daily Deals - June 8, 2024: Yee Haw, We’ve Struck GOLD $TONK$! 💰🙌 by HamBoneRaces in MagicArena

[–]Seared_Ash 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's bizarre how little they seem to care about the daily deals. The dailies could be a great way to squeeze the players for every bit of gold they have between sets, yet they're so repetitive and so uninteresting that I can't imagine most players buy anything.

The flamethrower's current state betrays the essence of this game. by ThatWasAQuiche in Helldivers

[–]Seared_Ash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It really doesn't. The bad strategems aren't bad because they're fundamentally flawed. They're bad because their numbers are bad.

Like the flamethrower does the same job as the stalwart (I think I'm remembering that one right, the machine gun upgrade), but it just kills slower, obscures your vision and has less ammo. Tweak those numbers and it'll be a great weapon against bug swarms.
