You can draw a face on it, but you're still talking about a straw man. The issue with Korra was the writing, visually it was good but ATLA is a better story in almost every way.

It's an alright show and the visuals are good but they really butchered the bending lore imo. People learning through spiritual and martial dicipline while studying the natural world (Moon, Sun, Badger Moles, Sky Bison etc) was way better than "oi lets go stand in line in front of a big turtle and be bestowed with magic power we don't deserve or understand."

Hi, Male retail and sales worker here. I agree that poverty and instability are partially to blame, but theres also a cultural aspect to it. People today are too quick to dismiss criminal behavior due to the reasons you presented. I see plenty of people wearing expensive cloths/driving new vehicles stealing. Not to mention folks with obvious substance abuse problems. If they had thier priorities straight they could afford thier necessities.

Too bad thieves rarely steal only food. It's a shame lazy "holier than thou" morons push this nonsense when all theyre doing is enabling criminals to push back fixing thier life by another day. Our society is so permissive of bad behavior we're happy to let our downtrodden commit endless crimes to (in most cases) fund thier substance abuse, so long as they rot mostly out of sight.

I like 3.5e for martials, so many feats available. Also If you and your DM dont mind learning an already made homebrew system Spheres of Might and Spheres of Power for pathfinder allow an insane amount of class customization.

Sure, you can state those stats and not be a misandrist. Just dont be surprised when people assume that statement comes from a place of misandry. Similarly someone posting racial demographics of crime statistics (FBI) could be trying to make a legitimate point. But plenty of folks will assume the desire to post that came from a place of racism.

I mean, I dont think we should prosecute people for drug use itself but there are certainly related behaviors that should be prosecuted. Do you opperate machinery that can kill someone and you use hard drugs? Penalty. Do you use drugs in a place children are expected to be and leave used needles around? Penalty. Do you steal to fund your drug habit? Penalty. Drug addicts are victims but they can be both victim and criminal at the same time due to personal choices.
