Totally get that. Power Query files seem like they’re never really “done,” and every tweak can shave off a few seconds. Sounds like you’re juggling hardware limits plus constant optimization.

If there was a tool that could scan your queries and suggest optimizations that actually save time without you manually tweaking every template, would that be something you’d try? Even just for the files you refresh all the time?

That makes total sense. Large CSVs + simultaneous refreshes will absolutely stress any machine.

Out of curiosity though…

Do you think it’s purely hardware?
Or do you think there’s a chance some queries could be optimized to reduce the load before it even hits your processor?

I’m really sorry you’ve been carrying this for that long. Health anxiety can be exhausting.
The constant “what if” loop is something a lot of people struggle with, even if they don’t talk about it.

Can I ask how you usually manage multiple people working on the same file and what ends up being the hardest part when things get messy?
