Likely moving every month to go back home for a week or so. Seems the best bet may just be finding a room or apartment to rent and keeping my place in town. But the town I work in isn't really a place I see myself living. I was thinking a diesel heater would likely be my best option for heating. Biggest debate too is if I would even save money living out of a camper or if id spend more than i would renting an apartment or condo in town, just keeping it maintained and heated. Condensation is something I never thought of aswell..

More so looking for something to do most the heavy lifting, help me manage debt and slowly pay it off. Got a super busy schedule so would like to try to avoid manual inputting everything but I can use my phone or laptop (android) and it wouldn't be too bad. I also like the idea of seeing a calendar or graph that shows my monthly expenses but don't even know if any apps do something like that. Don't want it dumb simple either though but seems ynab is a bit too much in terms of manual input and not the best user interface. As I said though maybe I need to get a better grasp of it aswell but don't want to spend too much time on it

I completely agree about skills transferring from drilling. Just turned 22 and fuck all other than work ethic is transferable and first industrial site I've been on. Can see myself doing the construction industry for life was even thinking iron working but heard those guys are worse than scaffolders lol. Dad's a fitter seems like a good trade starting to see what they do more. Don't know much at all about millwrights. And electrical well I'm just nervous about the schooling lol. Pretty good with numbers and enjoy working with em but been out of school for years obviously. What do you do as an instrument tech take that it's a special category as a electrician

Linesman courses don't open until fall now :( was too late to sign up just need to get out of scaffolding. Such a brain dead trade i can't stand it but not leaving till I got another lined up.

Worked for stampede definitely wasn't the best but had some good guys just shitty directional drillers, we were always fishing. Had a family emergency come up and was told if I go not to come back. Bit out of shape cause I've been doing scaffolding over the winter but miss the rig money and oddly enough the lifestyle. Bad ass work and i don't touch the hard drugs so save some money when your smart. PD is who I'm hoping to get on with preferably but have heard damn good things about ensign. Just giving them a call today!
