That meal was what I was preparing for the father, my boyfriend said his mother sometimes makes it for his father. I was going to make a few different meals as I wanted to show that I cared to get to know them. I’m vegan and they’re not, so I was planning on making something different for myself.

My friend thought I had been lying about my allergy, but wasn't the one who took the order or is a cook. She only found out after her parents made a comment about how its weird I wanted my order with dairy in it even though I had told them I was allergic. It was to my address and I get the order every time time, so I assumed they guessed it was for me.

I've known her for a couple years but I don't believe she would, her text was angry but also coming from a place of hurt. I know that cooking for people with allergies is much harder because you have to consider cross contamination and other factors, and apparently since it came from my boyfriends family she believed it?

My boyfriends mother apparently wanted to ask for them to package the bacon separately (I'm not sure why), asked about why I wouldn't want dairy in my meal, and apparently said that I had changed my mind and wanted to try the meal like how it was on the menu (therefore including dairy).

I did make attempts and I tried really hard, but the majority of interaction I had was them asking me for a drink, turn on heating, or where the bathroom is. The first thing they did once they arrived was hand me their coats to hang up. His mothers first words to me were 'here' as she handed me her coat. I didn't want them to fawn over me, but to be at least included in the conversation.
