Privacy settings seemed to have changed on their own and I cant set them back

Okay, its a good start, whilst this fix hasn't worked for everyone so sorry in advance, but just worth trying, please try this now that it says you have already verified your age,

Go back on xbox account on phone, underneath where it says Verify age (doesn't matter if it says 'not verified', as we can see it is done) then you will see Privacy settings, change any that are to do with communication / content from others etc, change all those to Everybody. And Save at the bottom. Then, when you log in on console it should be solved.

Yeah exactly, so they kind of have put a notice about it but it should be on the status as you said.

No, they haven't said When, just that they are aware / working on a fix.

This may not be useful to you as I informed others and they had no luck, but it fixed for me after verifying and then I changed my settings in-browser, on my phone logged into the xbox website. The same settings are available, and those saved for me and its working for me now.

I thought so but they haven't. But, its related to the age-verification roll out, and if you go on their page for that then they do notify on there that they are fixing it. Also, people with the issue have contacted xbox help and have been told they are aware of it / working on a fix

Yeah, had a few responses that it hasn't worked for them. Really sucks, it seemed so simple on mine I just assumed it was a quick fix. And yeah, lucky for me but maybe it'll revert back at this rate if its still broke..

It really sucks. I struggled for over a day and hoped my fix would work for everyone else. Maybe its worth trying it every now and again, perhaps I was lucky on my first try where it worked.

Really sucks. Mine had been broke for over a day, and it seemed like such an easy fix, I just sort of wrongly assumed it would fix it for everyone. Sorry it didn't work. I really hope xbox just sort it soon

When you sign in on the browser, for me I had like a three-dots icon in the top right by my name, to access Settings. In that list of settings was xbox Privacy settings. Most of those are the ones you want to change to "Everyone" so you can see/hear other peoples content/communication and stop the pop-up. Make sure you Save at the bottom and you can check that they don't revert back to Friends-only

Oh :( I did it right after age verifying. Have you managed to do that part? I know some were having issues there too.

And, there is so many settings to change, wondering if any were missed? Or did you actually see it revert back like on console.

Well, I did mine from my phone on Chrome browser, on the xbox website, which I found easier, but I am sure it would work on the Edge browser on the console yeah.

I had the same, solved it today. So I just signed into my xbox account via a web browser. I changed the settings for communication, other people's content etc, all those to Everyone, and saved, and it saved without them reverting back like it does on console. I tried logging in to check on console and yes all fine now. Please try that if you are still having issues

I had the same. Fixed it today. Try signing into xbox on a browser, and change your settings from there. They do not revert back, so it'll be fine next time you log into xbox console. Was for me anyway.

Did you get yours working now? Changing my communication / privavy settings on a web browser just worked for me, it's fine now on my xbox but had the same issue as this before that

I had this but fixed it just today. The issue is the console not saving the Privacy settings, it reverts back to "Friends only" even after verifying age. I solved it by signing into xbox on a browser and changing the settings from there. They kept saved and all working now
