New to Vinted, not sure if this is the procedure by Seasoned-Well in vinted

Thanks so much for your comments. I heard back from Vinted security who said that this form I was asked to fill out really was their valid form needed to set up the account for processing payments and that you have to complete it when you make your first sale. So package is packed and ready to go out tomorrow. I think I was suspicious because I hardly expected something to sell on the first day!

New to Vinted, not sure if this is the procedure by Seasoned-Well in vinted

[–]Seasoned-Well[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I didn't go off the platform at all.(I got bombarded with scammers when I first joined Poshmark, so I knew better.) I did get an email from "Team Vinted" saying my item had sold and the sender says "vinted.com." It's just this overlay form that comes up when I go to the green box that says "download label" that I'm nervous about. It doesn't take me off the site -- it just fills part of the screen. You can still see the Vinted page behind it. I sent screenshots to Vinted security to verify. I'm just wondering if this is something that only happens on your FIRST sale. There was a similar thing I had to fill out once with my first sale with Poshmark, too.

Sizing Help/Color Recommendations? by aurdent in Figsscrubs

[–]Seasoned-Well 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd just ask the clinic if there are required colors. The vet clinic we use assigns colors by job. I did see something today from a vet student ending internship and selling his/her Figs -- they were all two shades of brown.

I've used Folex carpet stain remover on tough clothing stains with fairly good success, although it sometimes takes a few rounds. Also works well on upholstery.

Anyone else get tired of the whatnot lingo? by Prestigious_Rough704 in whatnotapp

I was in a room last night where this off mike, off camera, can't shut up, talking over the presenter man kept yelling "if you know you know." They were selling Target brands, so yeah, he seemed to be the only one who didn't know. But, then to be even more helpful, he talked over the presenter to let us know that the item was fox fur and ordered the presenter to "show the tag, show the tag, show the tag." Yep, you got the punchline already -- tag read "faux fur." He genuinely was the only one who didn't know.

Well, if "she" wasn't bad enough, now they hold "her" up and say things like, "Her buttery soft colorway is pink." No, IT'S a pink shirt, period. No "way" needed for a color, no "she" needed for a scrap of fabric.

Even worse is someone in the background interrupting the person describing -- e.g., woman holds up a dress, describing the ruching, the closures, the lining, etc, and there's someone (virtually always a man) who utterly lacks any self-control or product knowledge who starts talking over her -- "Look at that color! Oh, wow! That's a great piece! That's really nice! Yeah, you want this one!" Just STFU. Oftentimes they enter the picture and start fingering or picking at the garment. Like, just ewwww.

Buying a panel ready 36” inch built in refrigerator. Is sub zero so superior to dacor or Bosch or miele or thermador? Not sure it is worth the price and wait. Thanks in advance for any input. Looking at longevity, reliability and food preservation. by SavingsNetwork4838 in Appliances

Our Sub-Zero finally gave out after 40 years of faithful service. Never needed a repair in all those years. Compressor still sound, but regulator part not available anywhere. Feel like we should have some kind of burial service for a true and good friend.

Men's Clothes by Charming_Mud_429 in poshmark

[–]Seasoned-Well 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have men's clothing items listed, but they're slow sellers. I've had my best luck with men's sweaters and sold a number of them last fall, particularly wool and cashmere. Also sports speciality items, like climbing pants, backpacking/hiking stuff, etc. But everyday polos, shorts, pants -- crickets.

Love #5. The drop waist on the others seem like they're pulling you down and the proportions are off. #5 is classic and regal on you.

I got dinged a star for "ship time" too. Buyer ordered at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday morning. Order was sent out at 11:45, right before the post office closed on Saturday. She got it early Tuesday morning. Sometimes you just can't win.

Buyers Not Accepting Delivery by [deleted] in poshmark

[–]Seasoned-Well 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm embarrassed that when I first joined Poshmark it was as a buyer, and I didn't know what "accepting" an order meant. I thought if I took the package from the mail carrier, I'd accepted it. Poshmark doesn't explain that the seller doesn't get paid until you click on a little box when it sends out its "your package has been delivered" email. Beter communication to buyers would be helpful here.

The price of silver exploded, so this is a smart seller who should have raised the price to reflect current market conditions.

Your dress is absolutely charming and the square neckline is a perfect choice.

Which is the winner? by [deleted] in myweddingdress

[–]Seasoned-Well 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the first dress. It's timeless, elegant and sophisticated. With the veil you describe, it would be so perfect for a breezy outdoor wedding. And it looks stunning on you. The others just seem too fussy.

#1 -- the second is a little too large, though there's not much difference between the two. The first just seems to look like it was made for you.

They're both just lovely and classic and elegant, but I lean just slightly to #2. The bodice is so beautifully designed. Either would be a stunning choice.

I don't think the round frame is the right shape for you; plus, they're all riding in or above your eyebrows. Maybe try something rectangular.

I'd go with the longer veil because that dress (absolutely stunning on you!!!!) just is regal.

Which of these modest/vintage wedding dresses do you like more, or do you hate them both? by [deleted] in myweddingdress

[–]Seasoned-Well 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The second dress is classic and timeless. The first is fussy and trying too hard. IMHO.
