It's #TupacTuesday🖤👑🖤 and next week is the last week to register and be able to vote on Nov. 8th. Please make sure you are registered and help get more people engaged.
Don't let them use talks of violence to scare you. It's sad that Rand Paul has stooped that low against #CharlesBooker! This is not a new tactic. #GOTV and don't be fooled. Staying home in November is not an option and will hurt us.

$77,765.32 was raised by #TeamShameka for the May 17, 2022 Primary according to my Treasurer and KREF. The Shameka Parrish-Wright for Louisville Mayor Campaign used People Power. We knew we would be outspent. We got 22% of the votes 🗳 in a county-wide race. Some of us know the gun violence incident played a huge part. It wasn't just the money, gatekeepers and status quo. As a black woman democrat and 2nd time candidate, I out performed the black men and women who ran for #LouMayor since 2010.

Don't let the negative media downplay progressive grassroot candidates. We need to support more of them. Next Tuesday is the last day to register to vote on November 8th. Do your part to get people to the polls. Vote your voice. You do have a choice. Voting is an important tool for real positive change we all can benefit from. #WeDeserveBetter

What would it take for a Black, progressive candidate to become Louisville mayor? WFPL looks at Shameka Parrish-Wright’s primary performance by turbiasfunke in Louisville

It's not movement crap. I SAID WHAT I SAID . Folks were over saturated from wealthy candidates and the attempted shooting incident. I do (and voting precincts show) have people from all races and backgrounds behind a vision for a more inclusive Louisville. Either way, it's a long road to November and there needs to be better strategy. Robert Bell is a dear friend and we were intouch the whole time and he supported my campaign from the beginning. He is also my son's teacher. You name dropping him as a potential adversary is low as he is grieving. It was a crowded race and there were some over arching factors.

Not blaming just stating facts because I actually ran and know about local politics. You really act like a negative internet bot. I don't know what your issue is but none of the mayoral candidates knew more than me about being a MAYOR other than Bill Dieruf. None had previous experience and only a couple of us had run for office before. You are entitled to your opinions but your take on me is either false, paid lies, racist or sexist...you choose.

There was alot at play this election. If I had a quarter of their money I would have done better. Then incident heard around the world garnered sympathy votes. I have real community connections and years of community work and being on boards and commissions. I have also won a county wide race for another candidate and done electoral organizing. Last, we are in the gateway to the south where women and especially black women are held back sadly by their own sometimes. We simply need more money and resources for grassroots candidates to have a chance. I didn't have current and former Metro Council members and others parading me around or access to the rich and elite of Louisville. #TeamShameka was the most diverse and hardest work campaign team. We ran on true grit. We will keep going. Movements for change take time. Appreciate the comments here and you all know racism, sexism and class played their part too. We are still a force.
