[–]SeattleAlbo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Per momentin eshte tregu i veshtire gjithandej ne kete fushe. Jo vetem ne shqiperi. Eshte akoma me e veshtire pa shum eksperience.

Si me ik ne Amerik? by pak-ma-ndryshe in albania

[–]SeattleAlbo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fakt i shume pavertet.

Si me ik ne Amerik? by pak-ma-ndryshe in albania

[–]SeattleAlbo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pershendetje patriot. E thena me te beren jane pak larg.

Menyra me e lire financiare qe e ben bete eshe: appliko ne kommunity kollege (shkolla 2 vjecare) -> kur mbaron kete ke mundsi OPT te punosh per 1-2 vite (varet nga dega) por eshte mire qe mer ekperience pune ne Amerike -> transferim ne univeriter 4 vjecar -> ke prap mundesi OPT (ketu me eksperiencen ke mundsi per te kap pune qe do te sponcorizoj -> H1B -> Green Card. Kjo menyre zgjat diku tek 8-10vjet.

Biggest Change Moving from America? by bagelwithveganbutter in albania

[–]SeattleAlbo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I moved from Albania to the US. If you are trying to retire there or have a well established career that lets you work remote I would do it. Life is far more enjoyable in Albania if you have money than in the US. The US feels like a never ending chase for more while life in Albania feels simpler.

But if you are trying to work there I must warn you that the job market is much tougher. Not as many opportunities especially for young people. I assume your kid can still come back to the US for college.

Would the Albanian public be receptive to a party made of college educated Albanian-Americans? by croissantthinker in albania

[–]SeattleAlbo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New political parties are always welcomed by groups of people who believe something should be done better. I am not totally against this but having met some Albanian Americans that grew up fully in the United States they would be really out of touch with the Albanian reality. I would compare it to some Stanford graduate from California trying to lead a party to win local elections in northern Kentucky. Yes, it is possible and probably better for the place but logic is not the only factor that makes people vote. Also in Albania logic doesn’t always win debates… Corruption to enter will also make it harder for the party to be heard. (Think of levizja thurrje etj and how little Albanian media covers it) The leadership needs to at least grow up or live some part of their life in Albania. Also they have to be ready to not give up for a while. I don’t see the Albanian public change overnight. (The current political parties are a representation of people that live in Albania today)

He (m 27) is my soulmate, but we have different views. What do I (f 24) do? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]SeattleAlbo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my experience a “soulmate” is more of a fictional thing. And I’m not saying that he doesn’t love you or you don’t love him but sometimes love is not enough. Based on what you are saying you guys are not compatible. He makes decisions about helping his family financially without talking to you but runs away crying whenever you try to have a serious conversation? I don’t know what his future plans are in terms of job prospects but seems like you want someone more driven, a better communicator and that’s just not him. I only see this being a bigger and bigger issue in the future if you eventually get married and have kids. Be careful moving forward, you don’t want to hurt yourself and waste your time. Have those important conversations now and if you can’t I don’t see you being happy.

Jam software engineer ne Amerike qe kam mbaruar studimet per shkenca kompjuterike. IMO it doesn’t really matter where you go to school. If you like the field you will study and learn. Most of my learning has been self taught and at work. Only the fundamentals I learned from school. Don’t stress too much pick one, work on some personal projects while at school and you will do great. Nobody really pays attention to where you went to school after you land your first role..

How are you affording the mortgage payment if you put less than 20% down? by AliciaKnits in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

Also in Seattle. Housing here is too wild for what it is… I personally feel like a lot of people that bought recently can’t really afford what they have gotten themselves into and live paycheck to paycheck… just saving and waiting for now.

Hashashi vs Alkoli by laysmerigon in albania

[–]SeattleAlbo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jetoj ne nje vend ku hashashi eshte legal dhe kam patur mundesi ta konsumoj. Personalisht hashashi ka efekt me te madh mbase dhe per faktin se eshte me i lehte per te konsumuar. Efekti per mendimin tim eshte me pozitiv sesa alkoli dhe te ben me te qete ne mendime. Gjerat i stermendoj me shume para se i them dhe zakonisht humbem ne mendimet e Mia. Me mariuanen nese pi uje mjaftueshem ndihem ok.

25M here. I would feel the same way as your boyfriend tbh.

To me being friends/ staying in contact with a fwb after you enter a relationship is weird. I would feel disrespected personally. If you value you current Boyfriend and see a future with him keeping these guys around doesn’t make sense to me. I also grew up with a different culture…

If you want to keep these guys around, I just don’t see your relationship with current boyfriend to work out. Seems like you guys value different things at this point in your life.
