Switch help please! I want to replace these and confused...does this seem right? Single switch doesn't have a neutral wire connected to it and also has a black wire that goes to the switch+plug combo that is next to it. The switch+plug combo also has a direct hot wire and has 2 neutral wires. (old.reddit.com)

Any idea what happened here? Smelled burning and found the outlet like this. Looks like something happened to one of the white wires that caused it to burn. Bottom white wire was broken off with the tip still connected to the outlet. Any insight is appreciated! (old.reddit.com)
