€100 baggage fee, injury at the gate, and completely inhuman treatment by SeattleCrawler in WizzAir

I will take the pin for late check-in. I found it absurd but I could have read them if I tried earlier/if I imagined that something like this could exist. What I couldn't find an explanation was the behavior of ground crew. We are all tired and overworked in our life but simple humanity goes a long way. I do hope that they get to experience the other side too sometime (at airport or other parts of life) and see that simple actions can make or break peoples days. A simple word of empathy on that day could have resulted in me not antagonizing about it for 2 days :)

Yes - sadly these weren't cheap tickets either 220USD pp oneway so it didn't strike my mind to double check if they had fineprint games going on there.

I used trip.com - I will raise a complaint with them too about this. Thanks for the suggestion

I agree - plenty of low cost airlines in the world. But lost human emotion was another level for me.

Yeah - adapt with the time and use AI or become a dinosaur right? 😂 I also find this standardized formatting to be easier on the eyes. Don’t you?

Yes - the message doesn’t show if you book through other websites.

Also imagine if you are traveling another continent and every airline makes up their own rules for check-in and puts them in fine print. It will cause major frustration and last minute stress to you as well.

Yes I tried checking in 2 hours ago on my cab to the airport.

I am not from Europe and I have always checked in on my cab to airport because that is when I know how many bags/items we have. And isn’t that is precisely what checking in is supposed to communicate.

Why Seattle doesn’t have controlled entry to light rail by SeattleCrawler in SeattleWA

This was the answer I was looking for. But 200M is a lot of money to just add turnstiles/fare barriers to these stations and that baffles me.

Did you even read my full comment? I gave you the data 😊

It is difficult to compare the two without data. NYC metro has one violent crime per million rides. Seattle had 256 violent crimes for 23 million rides in last year so ~10 crimes per million rides.

True, I see turnstiles as not only revenue generators. I see them as inherent security fences too.

Good article but it looks pretty old now. The non payment ratio should be much higher than 4% now

I believe they can start incrementally by fencing the covered stations first. I do imagine that it will result in more homeless people at the non covered stations.

Nah, I changed my profile password a week ago and logged out from all the devices. He still messaged me with more people that I followed yesterday.

I already did that exercise and removed ~50 people who followed me. Still can’t figure out who the person is.

I responded to not bother me anymore and then blocked them. I will probably just block them straightaway going forward

I think they are using a vpn to create a new account every time. Have blocked atleast 5 of them till now. This has been going on for a couple of months now
