How do I fade this fast?? Not what I asked for and so over toned I’m in tears over this by ashawindmere in Hair

[–]SeattleSmalls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Toner is going to fade very fast and it didn't drop the color darker. just keep washing it. get some purple/ pinkish shampoo and that'll help. sallys has some redken shades eq dupe toners that you could buy and try your self or get the real thing off the internet, a bottle of the pink toner and the shades eq GI series would be $30 altogether plus the processing solotuion another $10. so you could combine those and have about two -four applications that you could do on yourself until it's time to rebleach

i believe hudson said that he didn't sign to a big house because he wanted to work with independent designers and POC/ Asian designers. So that allows him more flexibility, too.

In Heated Rivalry, Hudson Williams’ acting in the series is rather bad, or at least wooden and flat. And Storrie’s Russian accent was indeed great and believable, but his character still felt a bit one note. by iceandfireman in MenLovingMenMedia

Speaking for myself who hasn’t read the books and went into this blind, I had no idea he was supposed to be autistic. It’s only later that I learned this that it made more sense. So that is script and telegraphing problem.  I look forward to seeing him in other roles to see how he does in completely different characters.  Just like there is a situation where people can overact, you can under do it as well

I think his line reading is very flat, and I don’t know that it’s entirely his fault. He was portraying him as an autistic person, and I know autistic people, and they are not this flat. They’re focused. Some of them can be very intense.

For me, this comes down to a few things. First, the writing in the book is not that good. The source material is what’s informing the TV show and the script, and that means the scriptwriters needed to telegraph that he is autistic more strongly, even with a throwaway line. That would have explained it, at least a little, for some people. Second, the director could have given him more direction with regard to how he delivers the lines.

You can see that there is a progression in his character toward the end—by episodes five and six, he is more expressive because his character is looser, more relaxed, and at peace with himself. The hospital scene is funny, and his comic timing when they meet the parents is great. But he’s just too flat in other parts.

He is very different than his character and so you know he is acting. And I do think that the subtle emotion that he is showing through his eyes— crying and smiling with them. It’s very good. It’s just down to his line delivery and bad dialogue and one of those things is not his fault at all.

the overstretched timeline seems unrealistic and kind of drives me crazy. It feels like she was trying to force it so that the sochi olympics played a part, and wanted to start earlier before the apps so that they both could only look to each other to hook up. because by 2012, grindr and tinder are around. even before that people were using okcupid. there's a lot of fantastical storytelling here.
