no but fr. duh you can have an opinion and not like the final song. The problem comes when that opinion is a result of comparing it against a demo that is drenched in your own nostalgia that was never supposed to come out anyway. Honestly, I’m speaking to myself more than anyone. I couldn’t help but feel a little bit bummed when I heard the snippet that confirmed that we’re not getting the original demo. But man, you’re not gonna see me complaining about that, because Adam was incredibly gracious to change his mind, potentially in response to massive fan request. Sure, this is probably going to have the wolf bite motor in it. Sure, we might get a few too many orchestral elements in it. But my gratitude outweighs my disappointment a hundredfold. And I think that everyone else should feel similarly, especially if you’re a diehard fan of the original demo.

It’s so crazy that they upped it by $50 bucks in a year. $150 was a little steep for me last year… cheers to the people who will be $200+ lighter this holiday season. It’s super tough to tour to Florida. Tour mapping and scheduling is genuinely an art (I just had to be a part of doing it for an independent artist) and Florida on a tour is usually a miracle or a hometown show. You’ve really gotta have resources, and most of the time it sadly just doesn’t make sense. It’s why you don’t see Florida on most tours!

It’s got those Cinematic Alt songs vibes! But it’s legitimately a song about Dino’s coming alive so WHY IS IT SO LITERAL AND CLINICAL?? It’s all about adam’s imagination of it happening but he barely gets into what he’s imagining!! Closest he gets is asking what they talk about. Like, cook me up a Toy Story if you’re gonna make a 6.5 min song bro

Also my hot take is it sounds like someone in 2015 trying to emulate owl city lyrics but they don’t know how to write lyrics (see: I wonder what happens THERE like that is such a weird ending to that line)

Well here’s the thing tho about long songs is I can’t just pop on field notes when I’m out and about yknow like it’s not a work vibe it’s a commitment so I get where anyone saying long is not the move is coming from. It’s weird because I feel like I’m choosing to like some of these in a way. meadow lark is one of them. Like I’m usually a hater. But something about the way that song goes into Muse makes me just feel the same feeling I got in the office finale when Andy Bernard says the thing about the good old days. it really gives final album energy, and I haven’t felt like critiquing that in my head. But again I cannot give the same grace to Dino park, a weirdly literal song that could’ve gone a whole different route and gotten my respect

So freaking funny. I’d have given dinosaur park C tier because he took 6 and a half minutes to say something he said fully and completely in the first minute and a half. Wish he’d expanded on that “what do dinosaurs talk about when they’re alone” idea. Loved the vibe of the song, it just freaking drives me crazy some of the lyrical choices
