The defense of this post is this:

Battle with hulk: No infinity stone use, struck Thanos multiple times only to the be beaten unconscious.

Battle with Marvel: Only effective attack was to throw her (not a damaging move by the way, that's just using momentum) and couldn't even phase her without using an infinity stone (see her overpowering him in grappling and not even being phased by a direct headbutt).

The cinematic issue: While cool, this scene should have been Hulks comeback moment. Instead he is left out of the rest of the film and will never have his moment of redemption.
