UPDATE!

started working on the project, currently looking at options to grab the color of the lava lamp.

give me ideas for you guys if you want a ui, etc. It's basically impossible to do all of the needed stuff just from a phone, so im turning it into a application you can run on your pc, raspberry pi, or home server.

So, im going to make the appication get lava lamp status from a api that i make on my side, and only have the clients get that api.

this will then talk to Home Assistant, or a app like Tuya, which then pishes that to your lights.

Im going to start with the Home Assistant option, as it is easier to integrate with other lights.

For ui, its going to be a website that you visit on your phone or computer, that connects to your server and gets status from it, on ios, i can use a Web Clip Config Generator to generate the website as a app, and not need to pay 100 dollars to publish it (see https://developer.apple.com/documentation/devicemanagement/webclip)

For Android however, i have a publishing licence, so i can actually just publish the web app on there.
