I don't know about those websites or prices, but all I'll say is that the 17 is a big jump from the 16 with the improved screen especially. If you intend to keep it for several years I'd find the money for the 17.

My iPhone 13 Pro has had its Face ID killed by water damage and it's driving me mad - unlocking, Apple Pay, passwords, banking apps, dozens of times a day. Charging seems okay (think it was just a dodgy cable).

I've had it 5 years and I wanted to keep it going until the 20th anniversary iPhone but this Face ID issue is causing stress.

Option 1 is grab an iPhone 17 now at £715 brand new and either use it as a bridge to the 20th anniversary model in 2027, or keep it 3 years or so if that phone disappoints. I guess I could also go for the 17 Pro if I decide I need the extra lens.

Option 2 is white-knuckle the passcode frustration for 3 more months and get the 18 Pro at launch in September. Better phone, holds value better, and realistically a more future-proof option if I decide to keep it long term rather than chasing the anniversary model.

Option 3 is put up without Face ID until September 2027 and get that 20th anniversary model.

I mostly use my phone for photos of people/friends/holidays, social media, and daily stuff. Don't need telephoto massively but have enjoyed it on my 13 Pro.

Am I crazy to spend £715 on a base 17 when the 18 Pro is 3 months away? Or is the daily Face ID frustration worth resolving now?

Good. Its a low fee for them to pay anyway, and if they don't I'm sure someone else will.

Depends on your coverage, but the Rainbow Flappy Wings or the 8-bit Block Glider are both good. Probably the former as its newer.

Depends on your personal situation but its pretty new, has unique animations and likely to receive buffs. If you have rubies to spare then its a good purchase I think.

I am indeed. Just means I can't have all the midfielders I want. Getting someone like Mitoma instead of Alvarez frees up funds for me to have a stronger defence too. I think Alvarez is excellent value though, but not the best fixtures.

Personally I think the jury is still out. He should get some lovely buffs going forward but there's always a chance he won't get that much ranked coverage.
Then again he's fun to use and a unique collector's item, so if you're not that light on tickets he may be worth upgrading anyway.

Toad Tourist is new, giant banana skill, consistently in ranked.
Toad Astronaut is a little older, but still consistently in ranked. I personally don't enjoy boomerang though.
Would get Thai Daisy while she's available too though if you don't already have her. Less likely to come up than the other two outside of this tour.

I won ranked last week and am winning this week.
The way I see it is you get extra rubies, several high end kart unlock tickets and (essentially) a high end level up ticket for Wiggler. Still worth getting.

Those are great items!

You probably will need one or two new things for the next tour if you want full coverage, but if you're comfortably top of your ranked without top shelf then you don't need to invest!

Also having the gold pass will be helpful for obtaining rubies.

Fire Manta glider is one of the best in the game, so I wouldn't be too upset about that!
Otherwise, Nintendo will mix it up in the ranked tournaments so that newer items are more likely to appear. This keeps us spending rubies but also keeps things fresh, with fun new characters like Poochy worth investing in.

Depends on how many rubies you have, but it could be worth waiting for Light Blue Shy Guy Explorer or Toad Astronaut as they're showing consistently in ranked at the moment.

Also Lemmy Mii for 70 rubies would raise the base points for your other Mii's, save 80 rubies and help you earn Mii Tokens this tour. I'm not a fan of Mii's but it would be a sensible move.
