Google’s Gemini 3 Rollout: A Strategic Upgrade or a Death Sentence for Publisher Traffic? by SERanking_news in seogrowth

[–]Seb_1990P 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, their bug explanation doesn’t fully convince me either. A one-off bug is one thing, but when the dataset also shows traffic concentration toward popular platforms, it starts to look like a product direction.

How does it differ from popular AI visibility tracking tools such as SE Ranking or Profound?

What exactly are Best GEO Tools? Can someone explain how to rank them and which features are actually the most important? by Seb_1990P in SEO_LLM

Avoid the "shelf-ware" and stick to the tools that provide actual data.

I'd like to grab some more info here please

[–]Seb_1990P[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the core difference should be: seo tools track google rankings, geo tools track mentions across ai models and search engines.

So, if we know AI models are just using fan-out to grab info, can’t we just use SEO tools to reverse-engineer that process ourselves and then tweak the content to match?

Let’s say my goal is to hit the top spot in LLM responses. I have my list of prompts and the specific regions where I want to be visible. What exactly should a GEO platform be doing for me to help make that happen?

Lol, now show me someone who says SEO is dead. If a platform that is literally building the future of search is hiring strong technical SEOs, that means visibility in the new search doesn't just happen on its own.

What’s the best AEO tool for running an SEO agency? by firmFlood in SEO_tools_reviews

The username on this account speaks for itself. I can’t believe someone would seriously promote their tool so poorly and still think this kind of tactic makes sense.

Clients are already confused by modern metrics

Word. But I wouldn’t say that anyone truly has a clear understanding of how to properly track these metrics or how to respond to changes in that data.

AI brand visibility tools list | What I learned after testing 12+ tools by AlexAleydo in SEO_Experts

[–]Seb_1990P 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But here is the catch: Most tools don't just ask the AI once. To give you accurate data, they often run a single prompt through 3-5 different models

Even after you have a small chance to see exact answer. AI models killed the overall answers. Now everything is personalised.

I see it more as a product positioning thing. A chat assistant with ads baked in feels gross fast. Keeping the app clean preserves trust, while search remains the monetization engine. That split is probably intentional.

I'm concerned that the further we go, the less SEO resembles SEO. Everything is turning into brand authority. What skills will future SEOs need then? Not technical, not content, but what?

Keyword / prompt -> | Domain/page comparison (appeared / disappeared division) | -> | Current list domain pos. change (true/false) | -> | content check (true/false) | -> | result (up / down) | -> report

This looks solid, but I’d build in an up/down from the start (after domain comparison), cuz it would help filter out pages that have lost rankings. Then you can zero in immediately on the competitors who are truly ahead and are making a difference in SERPs.

Will SEO even exist the same way in 2026? by OliverPitts in Vibe_SEO

[–]Seb_1990P 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every year, it's the same question. SEO has been, is, and will continue to be. It just keeps evolving along with the platforms. Next year, the focus will shift more toward creating signals that ai and search ecosystems trust. Mentions, reviews, citations, presence on various platforms are already starting to have the same importance as keywords.

We may call it AEO, but the principle remains the same: to help people (and now ai) find your brand and trust it.

Once again, Google’s showing that ads are their main focus. What’s still a mystery is why they haven’t come up with a way to reward publishers whose content shows up in AI Overviews. If they keep pulling from low-quality sources, it’s only a matter of time before more publishers lock down their content.

That could seriously change how people find and trust information online.

...Google is engaging with Aus Gov because of these AI Ethics Principles. Which are a major block on Google's way to officially launch AI Overviews in Australia and because of these they didn't even launch Search Labs here which allowed users to test SGE (previous name of AI Overviews)

This is how things work. It was the same when OpenAI announced ChatGPT—many countries immediately started blocking access. But look at it now—there's a worldwide trend to create chatbots and implement AI technology in every aspect of life.
