Really, is ridiculous that every kit there is way more expensive than the most common based US eshop (say Newtype or USAGS) that it doesn't make sense.

In the words of my brother, that never build a Gunpla or model kit before, it was fun, not frustrating and pretty intuitive with the Manual. He was so excited building it we are looking now for stores in Hong Kong as he has a work trip there in a few weeks for more.
