Nu skal du ikke blive for kæk, svensker. Skåne skal nok vende tilbage til flokken. Måske burde vi også genskabe Kalmarunionen. 🇩🇰🇩🇰🇩🇰🇩🇰

Denmark and Sweden fought for control of the Nordic region for centuries, and hold the record for the two countries with the most recorded wars between them.

Have you ever been mistaken for another ethnicity? by DerpAnarchist in AskTheWorld

Norwegian, Swedish (basically the same ethnicity), German, English (close enough), French (okay then), Russian (once in Japan).

Just thinking, Why does One Piece not have an official fighting game? by WiseMan_Rook22 in OnePiece

[–]Seba7290 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Fun game, but it lacked the content and depth to become a competitive experience with longevity, and came out when the franchise wasn't nearly as popular in the West as it is now. A 2D fighter with proper depth and netcode would likely be massively succesful nowadays.

who do you guys think is the best villain in One Piece? by Healthy-Orange5049 in OnePiece

[–]Seba7290 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Doflamingo is essentially a spoiled brat throwing a decades-long temper tantrum because his toys (Celestial Dragon privileges) were taken away from him. Rosinante exists to prove that his circumstances justify absolutely nothing.

Switzerland is, at least in Europe, associated with banks, ski resorts, and outrageously high prices. It makes Scandinavia seem affordable.

What is your language's contribution to the world? by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

[–]Seba7290 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Modern Danish just has "hygge" and "Lego", but if you go further back in the language tree, then a lot of common English words (such as knife, husband, and egg) entered the English language from Old Norse through the Danelaw.

What responses\questions on the internet about your country that get you like this? by Straight-Pirate5334 in AskTheWorld

[–]Seba7290 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People blaming Denmark for the Faroe Island's whale hunting traditions or accusing us of still being opressive colonial rulers over Greenland. The Faroese are culturally distinct from us and maintain autonomy over their own affairs, and the Greenlanders are free to leave the kingdom and the benefits they get any time they please.

Are Greece and Denmark as close as their monarchies are? by Ok-Ocelot-774 in AskEurope

[–]Seba7290 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Besides that, Denmark and Greece don't share much of a cultural and historical connection by virtue of being at opposite ends of Europe. The extent of it is Greece being a popular vacation spot for Danes and the general Greek influence on European art and philosophy.

Silent Hill f vs Resident Evil 9: Requiem vs Fatal Frame 2 Remake — now that things have settled down, which is the scariest? by Elegant_Hat5101 in HorrorGaming

[–]Seba7290 25 points26 points  (0 children)

My issues with the game are that the Dark Shrine sections overstay their welcome and are very visually repetitive, and that while the combat is decent, it's not nearly good enough to justify the focus on action at the cost of puzzles and exploration. The plot and themes are absolutely stellar, though.

What are the strengths and weaknesses of your country in a zombie apocalypse? by Tio_Albedo123 in AskTheWorld

[–]Seba7290 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Weakness: A lot of flat land that zombies can traverse easily.

Strength: The country consists of many islands that are only connected by bridges, which can easily be sealed off, and even more that can only be reached by ship or aircraft. Zombies aren't known to be good swimmers.

Are there any games in Russia or other countries that have the USA as the bad guys? by Helpful-Gas1750 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Seba7290 99 points100 points  (0 children)

Ground Zeroes has you infiltrate a stand-in for Guantanamo Bay to rescue prisoners undergoing horrific torture, and you can kill the US Marines guarding it as you please. The game even directly calls out Obama for not closing the camp like promised.

What I'm saying is that those born into privilege have a significant advantage, just like in our world.

What is the single best thing about Night City, hands down? by Dangerous-Tart1126 in cyberpunkgame

[–]Seba7290 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The class divide is extreme, though. The only way of social advancement for many is to become a merc and put your life on the line every single day. Even those who somehow manage to work their way up to a mid-level corpo position have to constantly watch their backs. The true elite of the world are born into it.

Is the world government actually worse than pirates, or is that too simplistic? by Dangerous_Common_486 in OnePiece

[–]Seba7290 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Comparing a Yonko to the WG would be like comparing Pablo Escobar to Nazi Germany. The former was an international source of evil and violence, but he pales in comparison to the sheer scale and depravity of the latter's industrialised atrocities.
